On August 30 the Swedish TV channel SVT1 will air an episode of the documentary series Hitlåtens historia (The story of the hit song) that will be dedicated to "The Final Countdown"!

Swedish music documentary series from 2017. 30 years ago Europe's big hit "The Final Countdown" made 27 million people go to the record store. We'll discover how the song came to be, why the band refered it to as "The Final Breakdown" during the recording sessions, and how it gave a hope for freedom to the youth behind the Iron Curtain during the 1980s.
