Hi, everybody!! Sorry, I have been out for long. You know, much work and everyday life is quite demanding. Our Fans Club in Chile are having a meeting this Saturday and we plan to talk about the second album of Europe. So, I'd really appreciate your kind help with details you have read or know about the recording, the tours, the songs or any anecdote about it. It would be great to share with the Chilean fans some spicy pieces of information from you, the most loyal fans of the band, especially Stein-Vidar who is a real book of information about the band. Thank you in advance. Warm hugs for you all! Vonny

Hello Vonny dear, what a wonderful iniciative ! Sorry I don't know any anecdotes about the fabulous WINGS OF TOMORROW but I could find some good reviews about the álbum, the first one is in spanish and is fantastic, maybe you all can read that day. It's from 2008, www.elportaldelmetal.com/critica/europe-wings-tomorrow"... En resumen, este Wings of Tomorrow es un trabajo prolijo y espléndido, donde resalta la grandiosa voz de Tempest y la maestría de Norum, todo complementado por un gran acompañamiento de la batería, bajo y teclados. Puntaje máximo señores ... " This is in english, mikeladano.com/2013/05/23/review-europe-wings-of-tomorrow-1984/They say about SCREAM OF ANGER, as you know this song is co-writing by Marcel Jacob. "--- Second up is the ferocious “Scream of Anger”, featuring Norum playing the heavily distorted riff through a talk box. This is a solid burner, scorched-Earth policy firmly in place, taking no prisoners. Tempest wrote this song with Yngwie Malmsteen bassist Marcel Jacob ... " Enjoy it a lot VONNY !

I don't remember where I read (or saw) that the recording of the album was very "on the go" and that they were partying a lot during the process. It was like a quick, relaxed and raw process.

I edited all the footage from YouTube into 1 show when they did their 2014 anniversary tour of WOT In the intro, you can read Joey's notes about the album. Maybe there's something in there

Still to this day their best album by far in my opinion! The songs, the production, the guitar sound, the voice, the artwork....everything I can think of is spot on. I always wonder if there really is no more left over material hidden in the archives. But I also read somewhere that they never wrote loads of songs back in the day and then choose from them which ones ended up on the final record. They worked out song by song until they thought it was enough for an album. I still am só thrilled that I was able to attend the Stockholm show on the short anniversary tour in march 2014! One of the best gigs I ever witnessed!!

Lucky you, Vielip. I would have left ve attending a tour show for only this album. It is the best for me, too. Energetic, melodic, extraordinary. I wish they make something similar to it... but they have insisted all the time in going one step forward and not back.
