"War of Kings" many heavy guitars, slower songs and a turn to the seventies rock of the most interesting. Joey: his work as a vocalist was accompanied by some musicians who touched the excellence, especially the keyboardist Mic Michaeli that at times gave the sensation that we were in a bolt of DEEP PURPLE in their best time... "
" ... Definitely EUROPE are one of those bands that are on another level, which improve over the years as good wine and that must be dates forced on the calendar of all good metal ... "metaltrip.com/europe-imperial-jade-sala-la-riviera-madrid-231116/

From SPAIN (Concert in Madrid) Source: RAFABASA WEB"... Precious starts "Praise You" with a great work of Mic on keyboards at all times very present in a very bluesy piece, making it clear that tonight the first part of the show would go completely dedicated to their latest album "War Of Kings", something Which may be debatable. "Nothin 'to Ya" shows a great rhythmic base marked by Haugland and Levén, both leads to a very effective and catchy chorus that brings us back to the main riff, a great contribution to the set ... ""... Few times we can see Tempest guitar in hand, something that happens in "California 405", a great cut of melodic rock in which Michaeli again gives a greater dimension to the band. Tremendously comfortable is Joey in the slow "Angels (With Broken Hearts)" where he can give rein to his bluesy side again, to regain speed with the "Days of Rock 'n' Roll" gallop, it's amazing talking of the good of Joey the charisma and the elegance that this man has, for him it seems that the years don't pass. "Children of the Mind" and above all "Rainbow Bridge" are examples of melody, you just have to see the keyboard solo of Mic, and later the precious solo of the master Norum in the latter ... "
"... "Vasastan" gives a well-deserved rest to Tempest, while allowing the rest of the band to come back with "Light It Up" and "War of Kings" to close this first part of the show dedicated to their last season. Now, it is time to receive its jewel "The Final Countdown" in full and starting with the piece that gives it the name, with all the audience that filled the room jumping from the beginning and in each refrain. From classic to classic with "Rock the Night" with Norum and Tempest making a pair live lethal, what form of understanding have these two and what refrain to re-break the room! ... "
"... Great night of EUROPE in Madrid, and is that although the first part of their show was the new album in full, the reception by a full Riviera was not bad, although it is true that there is no comparison with The second part of the show, and especially with some pieces of that record that we remembered today. Tempest and theirs are still in full shape and you just have to see how Madrid dismissed this Swedish / British mix, the case is that there is EUROPE for a while ... From UK (Concert in London) Source: THE CAROUSERRATE: 8 "... I do agree however, that playing an entire album released in 2015 is not the smartest of moves. Particularly at a show celebrating classic Europe material. Regardless, it is a good opportunity to watch the band perform effortlessly -showing everyone the reason that they have had so much success for more than 30 years ... "
"... It’s so pleasing to see the crowd singing along, hands in the air and smiles on their faces. Crowd participation with the older age group is often very hit and miss- however, this crowd are generally doing Europe proud. Then again, how can you not sing along to songs like ‘Carrie’ and ‘Cherokee’? ... "
"... Draped in black, legendary guitarist John Norum delivers a guitar tone which has such clarity and punch. This is accompanied perfectly by the heart-melting vocals of Joey Tempest. It doesn’t matter so much that he can’t quite hit all of the high notes that he used to. Regardless, he has still got it, inside and out. Ensuring that I can keep my air keyboard up to scratch is Mic Michaeli. He’s supplying that universal 1986 keyboard sound that the album just would not be the same without. To complete the original The Final Countdown line up is drummer Ian Haughland and bassist John Leven. Unbelievable stage presence, perfect sound (albeit a little quiet), and most of them still with a full head of hair (sorry Ian)! The band end with my favourite track and the last track of the album ‘Love Chaser’- and it’s the perfect way to end the show. It would have been great to have had an encore with some of the earlier material like ‘Seven Doors Hotel’, ‘Sign of the Times’ and ‘ Open Your Heart’. Despite the slow start, however, Europe gave their fans a truly great opportunity to celebrate and appreciate such an important album. The rest of the audience and I leave on a high and we are left wanting more. Until next time! ... "thecarouser.com/europe-roundhouse-live-review-2016/

About the concert in LONDON, but is a review in spanish. Source: ROCKANGELS"... From John Norum there is little to say that has not been said. He has the key of strength, melody, riffs and guitar solos that make it something unbeatable. He is the guitar of Europe par excellence, although some we can enter in other interpretations when comparing it with the "other" great guitar Kee Marcello that formed with the Swedes in some impressive discs, but there is no doubt that to the fan of Europe you put to Norum and he stays with him before Marcello. In his hands a lovely Les Paul Gibson (he pulled three). In his good pedals that he uses to perfection. Stretch the strings and make them sound with tones that do not seem to exist on standard guitars. He is an exceptional musician and in every concert he makes it very clear and with a clear simplicity and mastery ... ""... When EUROPE arrived to the stage was simply breaking, clean and domineering. Joey Tempest splendid and all the lights on him. The focus of the cameras and the eyes of the women in full without losing a detail of the movements measured and super studied. The mechanics and genetics Tempest in perfect harmony to the delight of the attendees. Constant poses very stylized and well presented by an artist who is left with experience and class. I remembered a great male friend that when we were on a spree he questioned his manhood if he was next to Tempest hahahaha what a monster ... ""... Joey Tempest sang very well, though he was a little annoyed in his throat. Something hoarse. He said it himself but that did not stop him from giving everything and much more... "
"... The rest of the group perfect. Michaeli as master pianist giving that touch that identifies the group in front of others, to fill with much hard rock the back and low of the band... " "... As for the initial concert what to say, Europe is what they are now and they do it with a sound that is what they currently want to do and that turns their back on what they were. This is brave and sincere. Music is a set of emotions and states of mind that the composer brings to light, and that the interpreters show in the way they understand. That is, now Europe is hard rock and that's what they play with "War of Kings". If you like it well and you also like it, because they have control of what they want to record and play live. Now it's the tour of this last album and they play it like this ... "rockangels.com/europe-dare-electric-boys-cronica/
