Here I leave my Review on the EUROPE's concert in London. It's a collaboration with the Spanish website MAXMETAL, the photos are also mine, I hope you like it. It's in Spanish but I'll translate it ....

AND 30 YEARS AFTER EUROPE CONTINUES TO TRIUMPH
Year 1986 the world of music is hit by the album THE FINAL COUNTDOWN flagging the current Hard Rock that was imposed at the time, and led by EUROPE a band that to many of us taught with this album to love rock. It has been 30 years and the band is celebrating with a successful anniversary tour of European cities where they have sold 4 SOLD OUT including Madrid, next to Stockholm, London and Milan.
On Saturday, November 12, the show was in the ROANDHOUSE London Room, very nice, circular, totally filled for the occasion where the guests that were opening for Europe were also luxury, the Swedish band ELECTRICS BOYS and the fantastic DARE, group that already toured with EUROPE years ago. The cartel was very interesting and in the atmosphere we could see, people queuing from hours before with Europe t-shirts prepared for the party.
On Saturday, November 12, the show was in the ROANDHOUSE London Room, very nice, circular, totally filled for the occasion where the guests that were opening for Europe were also luxury, the Swedish band ELECTRICS BOYS and the fantastic DARE, group that already toured with EUROPE years ago. The cartel was very interesting and in the atmosphere we could see, people queuing from hours before with Europe t-shirts prepared for the party.
And then comes the moment of truth, Europe The Crew set the stage for the band's staging, with a much improved production compared to what they have accustomed us, 2 giant screens that play a key role in the concert captain the scene where they will be showing us in each song videos with images of the band from the past and to the present next and photos of fans. The lights are frankly spectacular, changing in each theme and creating the atmosphere that each deserves.
Dark in the room and in the 2 giant screens comes a video presentation of the 30 years of this essential band, at that moment the emotion is growing and EUROPE appears, the room is coming down and Joey Tempest gives us the first of his poses, great leader who microphone in hand looks to the sky maybe looking for the redemption for the night of good rock that is going to give us. It begins to fall song to song all last album edited in 2015, the brilliant WAR OF KINGS, including VASASTAN the solo of John Norum that takes us to touch the sky with every note that this guitar teacher gives, every guitar riff is a pinch in the heart, it's not only his great technique, he is great for his ability to thrill, as in the wonderful solo of PRAISE YOU, song of the style Lep Zeppelin that band like to feed musically. We can enjoy the drum of Ian Haugland in HOLE IN MY POKET a shot that demands to be at high level.
And so it continues to sound the rest of the album, in NOTHING TO YA appears the current EUROPE, very 70s, where Joey leads the band with his voice ripped giving the replica to Norum's guitar. We also listen to RAINBOW BRIDGE, with an almost hymnotic rhythm, the band works, to emphasize the good work of John Leven that from the shadow never fails. DAYS OF ROCK AND ROLL and WAR OF KING are the two best known songs of the album and also the most laureated in this part of the concert, special mention to the wonderful ballad ANGELS WITH BROKEN HEARTS, a very content subject that allows to lower the tone of the night and where the guitar of Norum returns to shine. At this moment the stage is a very tight band that sounds really good.
We have the final party, for which most people were there, listen to the whole ALBUM THE FINAL COUNTDOWN.
Joey appears on stage after a few seconds of silence with a leather jacket, clear wink to the 80s, continues with the same appeal of yesteryear and his voice is as energetic as ever. In the giant screens we can see a video of the band thanks for these 30 years and the chords of the planetary anthem THE FINAL COUNTDOWN begin to ring, now yes, the room is totally delivered. And from that moment the songs of the album begin to fall like dominoes by the order as we remember it in our old cassette, to the well-known song it follows the magic of ROCK THE NIGHT, and to this, the delicate CARRIE, with photos of fans appearing on the screens while Joey whispers to us his famous ballad, all very emotional.
After the three singles we heard DANGER ON THE TRACK and NINJA, this last one wonderful, so hitten from the beginning but very melodic. And it touches to turn the tape and to enjoy CHEROKEE our memory has taken us to the past and there is no turning back, after the indian tribe sounds TIME HAS COME another slow song that could do little with the long shadow of CARRIE, with ON THE LOOSE returns the melodic rock of the album and the last two come, two jewels unknown by the general public but responsible for the greatness of this album: HEART OF STONE and LOVE CHASER, powerful with a refrain that hooks from the first listen and a Mic Michaeli making the hight voice in a beautiful way accompanying Joey's deepest voice, live sounds great, it's a pleasure to enjoy it. After the end of LOVE CHASER, a few chords by the protagonist THE FINAL COUNTDOWN to put the icing on the cake.
Epic night of a great band, very current, proud of a past worthy of remembrance, they continue with their talent and illusion intact on stage. Joey informed the staff with a big smile that next year they are planning to release another new album and this London concert was recorded by Patric Ullaeus, respected Swedish music video director, so they will be editing a DVD of the concert. Madrid is SOLD OUT, Barcelona is selling very fast, very recommendable concerts that we will have today 22 (Barcelona) and tomorrow 23 (Madrid) of November. Long live to Europe.
