Could anyone please give me some info about this bass that John Levén used on the The Final Countdown Tour in 1986? What's the name of the bass, what's the brand, etc...

I go check in the stuff I can find. Plenty of pics with the blue bass but I cant see the logo...because there is none on it.

It's a "brandless" Fender copy. Or the brand has been abraded/polished from the neck, which is also possible. It's also not a original Fender color. That's all I can make of it Stein

Thats what I was thinking too. Looks a lot like a Fender Precision but with a deeper/darker blue color then what Fender uses. Or someone can try asking him personally

Indeed. I think only Leven will be able to answer this question Maybe he bought it for 100$, maybe he built it himself. Could be anything. But it's not a original Fender, that's for sure.

It does have a lot of comparisons to the one Steve Harris from Iron Maiden used in the 80's if I'm right. Same colour and also the mirror plate (or how do you call it? I'm no guitar wizzard obviously )

I was browsing info about John Leven's sandberg basses and came across this thread: www.pratabas.se/viewtopic.php?t=4415A guy in there mentions that the blue bass was a "mighty mite precision bass" I cannot confirm or deny this info, have never heard of the brand before.

Did it have a mirror pickguard also or is it black? Hard to tell in some photos... The body certainly looks very sparkle blue ish like the Steve Harris bass he was using around the same time, only with a rosewood fretboard.

It’s been a few years since you asked Stein, but I got the answer.
The bass was put together from a lot of different pieces that Leven had collected. It was then put together by Arne Arvidsson, the guy that also built 2 white Stratocasters for Norums solo tour.
So there’s no brand on it. It’s now private owned by a guy in Stockholm who knows John Leven and has promised to not sell it to anyone except back to John if he want’s to let it go someday.
