Queensrÿche is a band that I listen to from time to time.
They have written lyrics that stimulate me as a listener to think more deeply about different social and political issues. The album Operation Mindcrime really digged into the mental world of a brainwashed person living for a political cause until it all ends with a life in total despair and alienation.
The band split with their singer Geoff Tate a couple of years ago and Geoff created the band Operation Mindcrime and the other members won the right to the name Queensryche and recruited singer Todd La Torre from Crimson Glory to fill the empty slot in the band.
Now I got two band to listen to.

Yes, especially RAGE FOR ORDER and the highly underrated PROMISED LAND. Great stuff! Well, your question is from 2016, so I'm a little bit late.

Started little while ago to listen again. Eyes Of A Stranger hit particularly hard, that's a real masterpiece ... This rediscovery started with Jet City Woman (so I'm at "greatest hits level" 😂, but anyway.. )
