Ex-Europe guitarist wants to buy AC Milan, after Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino brokers talks
The Italian is friends with Kee Marcello, who wants to help struggling giants AC Milan.
Leeds United owner and chairman Massimo Cellino is no stranger to odd stories.
From his fear of the number 17 to his general antics around Leeds United, he is tabloid fodder. Anyone who stops one of the most important press conferences in Leeds United's recent history for a cigarette break will always court controversy.
However, the latest Cellino tale is one of the best yet.
Remember the band Europe? The Swedish group had that hit track 'The Final Countdown' back in 1986. It is now a staple of relegation drama day soundtracks across the world.
Their former guitarist Kee Marcello has done fairly well out of the club and is now wanting to buy Italian giants AC Milan, in association with his partners, after being put into contact over the deal by Cellino.
Marcelo told Aftonbladet:
"We [Marcello and Cellino] have had a good relationship for several years. He has a golf club where he used to pull together a bunch of rock stars, type of an all-star contest. Deep Purple, [Yes keyboardist] Rick Wakeman and a lot of others tend to be there. Then he usually also sell tickets for various matches.
"I have always had a great admiration for Milan as both a team and for its impressive organization."

He went on to discuss the possibility of bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to the Rossoneri, who have recently failed to live up to their previous high standards.
The Leeds boss than could be the mediator in one of football's most unlikely takeovers, just another day at the office for the enigmatic Italian.
Best Cellino story yet?
