Absolutely ... and I think this could to move some things into people that is responsible for official communication of the band. I thought that too, but then I also thought that perhaps because the fans are so much quicker in finding things out before the band posts them, the band/management/admin might think that they don't have to do the work? And I don't mean that in a derogatory way towards the band. I would prefer to read it first on their FB page itself, too. But it would be nice if, when they aren't posting things themselves, that they had a dedicated person/admin keeping an eye on what news the fans are sharing with each other, checking the facts to make sure they are correct and then getting that info up on the Europe FB page before it becomes old news around FB itself. That person wouldn't have to stay glued to FB...just pop on and off a couple of times during the day to see what the latest news going around the community. The Steve Augeri Band's FB page had the Mexican tour info up first on Aug 30th. Europe's post was Sept 5th and Survivor's FB page still doesn't have anything mentioned yet. Europe just posted the Rockklassiker Live (Dec 14th) a few hours ago and how long has that been circulating within the fan community? Sometimes I feel bad for the band because the fans out-scoop them with their own news most of the time... The fans have a computer and a lot of passion (main ingredient for to do the things well ... ) I assumed (and probably I'm wrong about what is happening) that in the official facebook page of a big band like EUROPE one person should have a review every day what happens there, and of course share news because the information must be born of the band. But for me beyond what happens on Facebook, it seems more severe the immobility of the Official Site, should be dynamic and rich with more and more things, but not, ... and especially what is happening this year, or rather, what is not happening, the wonderful 30th anniversary of the band, in a great moment with a winning album, with concerts in places where they never have been before ... but without any celebration or activity for their people, for your fans, ... beyond the concert DVD Sweden only this, it seems rather poor as a celebration, and it was really great, some fans travelled to Sweden for to be there with the band (even ill like me ...!) Fernanda has written a post where it speaks this year is the 10th anniversary of the return to the band, I think the 2/10, a date also seems pretty important, it's been 10 years ... is great, ..., in this band is happening a lot of things that can be celebrated, or at least to be commented.

Meanwhile, Europe page on FB turned the half million likes. I suppose it's a good thing. Congratulations.

Meanwhile, Europe page on FB turned the half million likes. I suppose it's a good thing. Congratulations. Yes, I also think it's a good thing, in the end this means that more people know the band. The celebration was small and contained in my view. The Wm of the page has used the same post to make a reference to the 500,000 likes on the page and also posted the link that leads to Joey's replies to fans. This message was left when the page had more than 501.XXX "likes", which made many fans had already congratulated the band on other comments that had nothing to do with this topic ... but this is already something very common. The best was the message of the band: Thanks to you!
This site has-been an enormous success. Here we are, 500000 likes.
Well done everyone! Lets have some more fun, shall we?

Joey / John / John / Mic / Ian / / Europeyes, that's a wonderful thing for them : half a million friends on fb instead of 3000 members on their former official forum... And for us fans, too. Everything is better now. Personnaly, I don't regret at all the "old good times", when EUROPE had only a website and a forum. Only the blog was very nice at this time. It's far better now : the website is not very interesting, that's true, and the blog doesn't work anymore. But we have : -an official facebook page where they post rather often news (and even JTempest !) -Ian fb -Leven fb -All the fantastic Norum pages. -Europe the crew fb. -Many fans fb pages where we can share news and pictures before everyone else. -And this excellent international forum with ONLY nice members and a fine administrator(at the contrary of the former official one where there was some awful trolls, and where the administrators very often removed what we were saying...) Yes, I prefer things like they are today. Much more interesting ! IMO the only thing missing is an official fb for Mic Michaeli. ...And then, everything would be perfect on the EUROPE planet IMO !

I like your positive point of view, ... it's really great ! This forum and the Norum pages are the best places, but even though facebook has good things, if we only had facebook as unique EUROPE's channel, probably for many of us would disappear the daily support we are giving to this band.

Very interesting, it seems that the band is feeding better to their puppies!
This is the comment today on the Official EUROPE's Facebook Page: EUROPE - THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - the hit that started it all for us! To think this is almost 30 years ago now - we hardly recognise ourselves! Whilst this was an important chapter in our lives, EUROPE have evolved over the decades, and we still love what we do today... bringing you power and emotion! We've got some great surprises in store for our 10th studio album which is currently in the pipeline, so stay tuned! ( )

Europe Official facebook page has gotten 1.000.000 "LIKES" ... is a BIG number ! Is important today to be part of the social networks ... so Congrats to the band!
It's a great victory for EUROPE. it shows they were completely right to choose facebook instead of their old fans forum : 1 000 000 instead of 8000 members ! (however, don't you feel a bit strange that their "events" page is not at all updated with the new 2015 tour ? I see Only dates of previous old shows ... ? Is it my computer that have problems, or is it EUROPE who forget they have one millions fans who'd like to know all their next concerts dates ?? )

I agree, It's great for the band to be present in social networks, so I also see it as a victory , but in my opinion facebook can not replace the kind of support that is given in a forum. Facebook is fast, simple, superficial, a forum is a more caring place with more intensity in everything, nothing to do between them, I prefer the 225 users of this forum to million "likes" in Facebook. Surely the most interesting part of facebook are the messages that Joey left there, some of them quite long dedicated to his fans. But the band decided so certain that this is the best way ... On updating Concert Dates:
