EUROPE official page on facebook has gotten 300,000 "likes", ... sure isn't the news of the year for the band, I guess, hehe but if we understand it like that each day has increased the support to the band is a good news. It's also good news that we need only 2 users for to get 200 users in this forum! I'm glad of it ... maybe we aren't 300.000 but we know better how to have fun !

LOL! What a great job ...!

The EUROPE official page on Facebook still does not say anything about the Tour in Spain for 2014, though WmJN since yesterday has been created these events and are sharing information with fans ....
Please !!! Who manages their official page on FACEBOOK? The EUROPE managers or marketing team or "I don't know the name" team, that is the only place currently of the band live, we have no tour blog, the oficial website is dead, there is no official forum ... we have only facebook and there's information no updated ... This situation is repeated, but never ceases to amaze me.

This situation is repeated, but never ceases to amaze me. On Europe's FB page, the Sept 5th post about the Mexican tour was posted from Australia. Do you think it was from Dimitrios Dimitriadis (their art design/director)? He's situated in Perth, Australia. That's who came to my mind when I saw that posting, Tomorrow. Perhaps he helps? Not to sound picky with the band, however, I think they could be doing much more with their FB presence as well. When they posted the "Vault" - that would have been such a great vehicle to have had them posting more historical Europe items (maybe special mementos from each band member with a wee message about it/or what was happening during that time that made it special), especially as a tie-in prior to the SRF 30th Anniversary show. I sincerely hope they don't allow the Vault sit dormant...it really is such a brilliant idea! What I would to see them do once again? Their Tour Diaries...or at least perhaps post shorter versions of some of the stories from the road or their day. I still laugh at some of the old TD! "Hello, my name is Mic. Do you speak English?" **click!! (he was hung up on) Oh, to have been a fly on the wall! Not fun for Mic, I'm sure. It would have frosted my a$$ to have been ripped off like that (and would have probably taped "F*** A1" on my shirt, too.) For me, those old TD stories drew us fans in--like we are all sitting with them, having a drink and listening to them regale us with their road stories... They could do that on FB easily. It doesn't have to be a novel...but their page needs more activity from the Europe camp than what is currently happening on it.

And the website europetheband.com, doesn´t say anything about the dvd release yet... Only JN webmistress is updating John´sites inmediately. Once again, this forum and fansites on Facebook are the first ones to find and share important info about this band...

I also noticed that the EUROPE post on Facebook come from Perth, and Dimitrios is located there, maybe he manages the page, but I don't know, anyway I think it's a global problem, is a matter of how they want to projecting the image of the band, my opinion is that if their bet is FACEBOOK, so they have put aside everything else (oficial forum, tour blog, oficial page ...)! Unless care of it, unless keep it updated. What is the point being there outdated? It's amazing how fans have been sharing information about the next Tour in Spain for the past three days and has been today! when they hung TOUR IN SPAIN post on their official facebook page, which has 350,000 likes .... ! But this should be the page which tells us the firstfruits... my god !! And on initiatives of the band, there are a lots that could be carried out!! Today we have many channels in which they could communicate with us, vía contests, comments, questions, some premiers only for us, old videos, new photos of the band members, uffff I don't know, ... a lot of things , and I don't think that this subtracted the quality in their music or could be worse considerated by people in the rock world, which is what I personally have ever thought.

Once again, this forum and fansites on Facebook are the first ones to find and share important info about this band... Absolutely ... and I think this could to move some things into people that is responsible for official communication of the band. I thought that too, but then I also thought that perhaps because the fans are so much quicker in finding things out before the band posts them, the band/management/admin might think that they don't have to do the work? And I don't mean that in a derogatory way towards the band. I would prefer to read it first on their FB page itself, too. But it would be nice if, when they aren't posting things themselves, that they had a dedicated person/admin keeping an eye on what news the fans are sharing with each other, checking the facts to make sure they are correct and then getting that info up on the Europe FB page before it becomes old news around FB itself. That person wouldn't have to stay glued to FB...just pop on and off a couple of times during the day to see what the latest news going around the community. The Steve Augeri Band's FB page had the Mexican tour info up first on Aug 30th. Europe's post was Sept 5th and Survivor's FB page still doesn't have anything mentioned yet. Europe just posted the Rockklassiker Live (Dec 14th) a few hours ago and how long has that been circulating within the fan community? Sometimes I feel bad for the band because the fans out-scoop them with their own news most of the time...
