" … Not even talk about a setlist that more than the thirtieth anniversary seemed fifth birthday as a band ..."Well I have to admit, that is kind of true... How so?

" … Not even talk about a setlist that more than the thirtieth anniversary seemed fifth birthday as a band ..."Well I have to admit, that is kind of true... How so? Because at first, I was slightly disappointed when I saw the setlist. Just a little bit, not that much To open with 3 songs from BOB, just like the other shows...I dont know. Why not open with a classic? And 4 songs from LLAE, but 3 from Final Countdown? I think the guy from the review is referring to those kind of things. 27 songs and 3 REAL surprises. In my opinion, thats not enough for a "30 years of Europe anniversary show". Paradize Bay/PIP/In The Future To Come are awesome, but I was soooo hoping for a bit more rare songs like those. Or that they picked some other songs from Wings of Tomorrow this time. I dont know, maybe Treated Bad Again...Wasted Time? Same goes for the songs from OOTW. Sign of The Times again? Why not Towers Callin'! But still a great show, from what i've seen on youtube. Great lights, stage, and also Joey sounds like he was on top form that night. I think for people who never saw the band live before, this is a great setlist. I think its a nice setlist too, but personally, I was hoping for a bit more surprises. That's it.

He didn't use any silver mic stand. He used the two white ones as always. (Might look silver on some video's due to the big light show) My mistake. Good to know he hasn't changed that iconic piece of kit

I know what you mean. Even though it was a great setlist with a couple of big surprises, I was still hoping for a little more. When Joey said they were going to play a song from their second album, I shouted, "WASTED TIME!" I'm sure I wasn't the only one who wanted to hear that song. Oh well. Maybe they're saving it for a 30th anniversary gig for Wings of Tomorrow in 2014... You never know...

I liked the setlist, they included some of my favorites songs as "Start from the dark" and "Seven doors hotels", but I agree with "Ernie Ball" they could have started with a classic, ... that concert was a big party, had 33,000 people I think would have been nice to start with something that had connected with 33,000 people and honestly a song of BOB for it, maybe is not the best choice, maybe "rock the night" for the beginning ...
On the other hand, I think the show started late, was planned too late, ... the people led all day there under the sun and lots of beer, obviously we all (forum users) are pleased to see EUROPE no matter when, but not everybody thinks the same. It was a great show, but I'm ready again for that EUROPE give us something more intimate like Nalen e.g ... well who knows?

Had they not done the two covers with "the guests" we might have gotten a couple additional obscure songs, but there's no telling. I find that most bands do the tease by saying a bunch of surprise songs or things we haven't played for a long time, and then it's maybe one rare song and something they haven't played for a couple years. Obviously, living in the US, I enjoy reading your comments and seeing your YT videos because they haven't played here in a long time. Overall, I'd rate the set list as an A- or B+, but I think we can always be critical of the set list.

Marco17; it was the best Europe show ever! No doubt!
I guess we (hardcore fans) just always want more than we can get. If they had played some other songs, then we would have missed the ones they did... Look forward to the dvd, cause this show was amazing in all ways

I was hoping for a bit more surprises. That's it. me too.... Other songs from the Europe album, WOT, OOTW, LLAE.... Exactly... Well the songs from their 1st album were perfect, for my taste. But I would have loved to hear different songs from WOT and OOTW. It really seemed like the perfect night for it... Haha yeah I could hear you yell! I already thought it was you! But yeah Wasted Time would've been great. I can honestly live without Scream of Anger or Wings of Tommorow...if they would play Wasted Time. Oh and yes, good point about the WOT anniversary! Who knows! Marco17; it was the best Europe show ever! No doubt! I guess we (hardcore fans) just always want more than we can get. If they had played some other songs, then we would have missed the ones they did... Look forward to the dvd, cause this show was amazing in all ways Totally agree! Setlist is ofcourse still very good, YT videos are looking great, and i'm really looking forward to the bluray. Probably gonna watch it over at a friend of mine. He has a HD beamer....projecting on a big white wall. I also watched Shepherds Bush 2012 there. GREAT experience I can tell you
