Thank Gods of the North!!!! I'm very happy that NTY made it to the next stage!!!!   Concerning the discussion who began here about THE GETAWAY PLAN lyrics, I've remembered why they had a special meaning for me. Time is passing by and we forget things, sometimes. But actually, when I experienced EUROPE for the 1st time in my life,in 2007, this band contributed strongly to my "liberation". I've always said that, in a way, they "saved my life". With their music, their unique energy, and something special and indefinable they've got, they helped me to free myself from the kind of inner jail where I was trapped after a terrible experience in Egypt. So, when they say : "I'm the getaway plan", that was just the truth for me ; and "can you reach me ?" : yes, I wanted so strongly to reach them and attend one of their show that I finally succeeded in overcoming my horrible claustrophobia, this dreadful feeling that kept me buried alive ! I'm OK now. They have been literally my getaway plan  . So I take the opportunity for a personal message here : Thank you so much EUROPE for being what you are !  Your testimony gave me goosebumps and made me feel about the power of music and of THEIR music especially! I think most of us, if not everyone, has gone through some very dark times due to varied reasons but well here we are! The passion for evertyhing this band represents and for everything they are able to convey goes beyond words!  My selection from Group B: Scream of anger

.... Maybe things could be different in a future battle ..... That's the kind of words I like to read, ent.  Your testimony gave me goosebumps and made me feel about the power of music and of THEIR music especially! I think most of us, if not everyone, has gone through some very dark times due to varied reasons but well here we are! The passion for evertyhing this band represents and for everything they are able to convey goes beyond words! The funny thing is that for my first EUROPE show, in Skien, Norway june 2010, I had the chance to attend a EUROPE soundcheck, and the first song they played was THE GETAWAY PLAN ! This soundcheck remains one of the best memory of my life. It was very special, because in Skien they were playing on an outside square that was not closed. Everyone could cross freely the place. It was the afternoon, very sunny, but in fact totally deserted -except 3 fans who were drinking something at a cafe on a side of the place! I sat at a quiet corner of the square, rather far from the stage, because it was the first time I was seeing EUROPE "for true", and I felt really really intimidated. But being alone there, I had the delicious feeling they were playing only for me... They began with "The getaway plan" !!! J Tempest was wearing sunglasses, but while singing, he was staring towards my side, fixedly. He didn't move at all. Only staring. So it was easy to imagine that he was playing for me  (yes, we, fans, are very imaginative !!!). Then they played many other songs, including GONNA GET READY. The soundcheck was very long actually, one of the longest I've ever heard ; a real "mini-concert". Mic improvised with his keyboard. And at the end, JTempest told something to Norum, and Norum began to play a little piece of Bach music (yes, the Great Johann Sebastian himself, my favorite composer !!). A real daydream !!!!  |

Hello warriors of this Amazing Battle 
while the band is collecting Awards and invading the world with their musical talent here we are deciding between the impossible, Could anyone choose between the stars of heaven ? (I know very cheesy  ) It's unfair, of course, but this is our destiny, and although hard, we'll go forward because every song is like in the unforgettable film "Highlander" an elected and "There can be only one".
Tough group, full of heavyweights  … we had three songs from the praise WINGS OF TOMORROW album, Which one to choose? From the beginning, "Wings of Tomorrow" is ahead to "Scream of Anger" (the choice of the band for play in live) and the wonderful "Aphasia". And there has been overwhelming support for the precious "Heart of Stone", can we enjoy of it live next year? I hope so, my fingers crossed. Too many votes also for "Firebox" a song with an elegant presence of Mic, stresses the importance of the keyboard in this band, something to consider since this band has the best guitar player in the world (sorry for my subjectivity ) ... I think these results show how important are the guitar and keyboards in Europe, both.

Well, I join the statements about the positive influence from the Europe's music in our lives, maybe the unconditional support of many people like us, born from the need to show the gratitude for helping make our lives better, perhaps is a kind of balance, try to give them a little of everything they bring us not only with their songs but also with their concerts, that energy and good vibes you feel when you leave a concert of the band, do you remember? it's amazing. In addition to the way they are doing things with humility offstage and passion when they jump on it.
Warriors of Aphasia!!!! Wear your helmet, armor and sword, because the battle continues.
And don't forget to BE HAPPY AND LISTEN TO EUROPE!
