My choice in this round is: Wings of Tomorrow Heart of Stone Firebox California 405 I like Scream and Praise You as well, but I know there are some fierce warriors here fighting for their favorites, so I might just as well give my vote to the "underdogs".  It's kind of strange: I wasn't particularly moved by California 405 at first and a couple of weeks ago I would clearly have voted for Praise You, but during my many travels recently I listened to WoK an unfathomable number of times and of course California 405 is THE perfect song when you're riding through the country - even though it was riding down German train tracks and not California 405 ... |

California 405Allright, this time I must play it in a strategic way, because these 3 songs are among my CHERISHED ones !  That's why I need to sacrifice all the other ones, although I like them very much (except "scream of anger", which IMO is not a "real" EUROPE song) However, from what I see right now, I think I must already prepare myself to the fall of GONNA GET READY... After DOGHOUSE and THE GETAWAY PLAN, it'll be the 3rd among the "beloved" ones, these songs I couldn't do without. Heartbreaking game !   Concerning the discussion who began here about THE GETAWAY PLAN lyrics, I've remembered why they had a special meaning for me. Time is passing by and we forget things, sometimes. But actually, when I experienced EUROPE for the 1st time in my life,in 2007, this band contributed strongly to my "liberation". I've always said that, in a way, they "saved my life". With their music, their unique energy, and something special and indefinable they've got, they helped me to free myself from the kind of inner jail where I was trapped after a terrible experience in Egypt. So, when they say : "I'm the getaway plan", that was just the truth for me ; and "can you reach me ?" : yes, I wanted so strongly to reach them and attend one of their show that I finally succeeded in overcoming my horrible claustrophobia, this dreadful feeling that kept me buried alive ! I'm OK now. They have been literally my getaway plan  . So I take the opportunity for a personal message here : Thank you so much EUROPE for being what you are !
