Hello friends,
time for prizes of battle, each user deserves one but as we have only three will try to decide fate.
(1) andy74 (2) anitacska (3) behshad (4) bendi (5) boeing72 (6) cristina (7) eleonora (8) EuropeMagnum (9) gemaim (10) guesswho? (11) Ila (12) jarkam (13) marina (14) Marina Art (15) martinabedofroses (16) Michaela Italy (17) moondragon (18) poundingheart (19) ravscool (20) ricardo (21) Sahiyela Osiceca (22) seattlegirl1971 (23) Stefania (24) Stein (25) Tone Irene (26) vonnyloveseurope (27) wantedman (28) watercolourgirl
Each user has a number to participate, who will be the three winning numbers? Those who match the winning numbers in the Italian lottery of the following link.
www.lottomaticaitalia.it/lotto/home/index.html
The first three Italian cities referenced in the lottery are what help us. Each gift has associated the name of an Italian city, and every city is awarded with 5 numbers, the winner of each gift will be the first number, if this number is greater than 28 (the number of users involved) we turn to second if not the third and so on up to five. The number of users is 28 and the lottery has 90 numbers, in 5 opportunities I think it is quite possible that before or after we have a winner in each of the cities (gifts).
The next drawing will be on Thursday, March 10 at 20:00 CET and there we will have our winners
POSITION 1 (Gift THE FINAL COUNTDOWN ) = BARI
POSITION 2 (Gift WINGS OF TOMORROW) = CAGLIARI
POSITION 3 (Gift WAR OF KINGS) = FIRENZE
Please ask me if there is any doubt, I have not clear if I have been able to explain well and I want everything to be very clean
Good luck to all !

We can also already say that the first reserve city (if needed) will be Genova and then down in the same order they are displayed at the link provided. It's quite unlikely that on more than one city (box) all the drawn numbers will be higher than 28 but it is possible. In that case the first prize (in the order they are shown in Eva Tomorrow's post) shifts to the first reserve city, the second to the second reserve city and so on... Good luck everyone!

Thank you, ent and Eva Tomorrow, for all your hard work during this battle. It's been very fun, and I have enjoyed it much! So three cheers to you both, and to Stein as I believe he also stepped in to help when Eva T. and ent weren't available. Well done!

That's right! Previous battle was a warm-up. I said last time that the winner is The final countdown

I missed the last voting session for some reason but all I can say is that The Final Countdown won the battle on the very same day the Anniversary special edition was announced!!! It was written in the stars!!! Definitely!!!! As it was said, many other EUROPE songs would have deserved the first position... We love this band because of their top-rated musicianship, so no surprise about it... TFC has a special meaning for everyone of us, we know that very well... If I had voted in the final stage of the battle, I think I would stop for a moment and think of the many times I heard this song in contexts outside the EUROPE world: as one of the songs played before or after any rock shows I've attended; in some old jukebox (do you remember them?) when it was often played back in the 80's by whoever stopped by in a bar; as the song played by a DJ on a radio station or at a rock disco... Well, what did I feel every single time? Endless pride and happiness that cannot be described by simple words... Sensations difficult to grab but that were there every time and still are... Can't wait to celebrate with the band and the other fans the first 30-year-old birthday of the song that has changed so much for many of us!!! Very special thanks to ent , Eva Tomorrow and Stein for hosting and leading this amazing Battle with the biggest passion and dedication!!! Thank you guys sooooooo much!!! It's been one hell of a ride!!!!

Thank you friend, you are right! we have to consider all possibilities in advance
You're all so friendly with the comments
On the other hand, one very interesting thing, maybe your photo Stefania means that EUROPE this year will launch a CD with THE FINAL COUNTDOWN version 2016 for its 30th anniversary ? I think so
And about gifts donated I give you some additional information to confirm their authenticity, you all can check in John Norum Official WEBSITE the contest in 2010, the photo of the awards (John's autographs and picks among other things) yeah ! ok, one of those picks and autographs are that tomorrow will be for any brave warrior of WINGS OF TOMORROW FORUM !!!

Does anyone think that because the battle has ended we would not have "animated picture" today? Ok, you were wrong ...
See you later !!

No doubt that the victory of TFC has a lot to do with the celebration and the 30th anniversary of this song... That's why, ent , may I suggest you to change a bit the title of this thread into, for example : "The Battle of the Songs 2015 -2016 : ...(etc) ? Because the mention of the year 2016 is very important, there. Personally, I wouldn't have voted for TFC in the previous battle the same way I did it this time in several steps. But now, because we are in 2016, I needed to pay tribute to the song that, in a way, was the real beginning for EUROPE. A song that still stays an anthem BTW. That's why, although "Ready or Not" was my favorite, I'm happy with TFC victory -especially as I know our friend Stein likes this song so much !

And while there was no new song from BOB in the previous top 5, now we can see one new song from WOK: Days of RNR.
