may be... coast to coast? Fantastic choice Marina Art ! Thank you so much I love this song, ... sweet moment for the band, the time OUT OF THIS WORLD ... what a great album! with this song Europe showed us that there was life beyond CARRIE ... You look out that window For someone you know But it all looks the same and time and again It hurts you so You wonder if always You'll stand on your own But hear in your mind, you'll get through this time You're not alone
When time seems so lonely And your day seems too long You wonder if you will ever get through And still be strong With eyes full of sadness You stand on you'r own It tears you apart, but you know in your heart You're not alone
Coast to coast and land to land We're together hand in hand Coast to coast and land to land

Didn't Joey write this song for the Scorpions?? As far as I know - No, he didn't. He did write the song "One of a Kind" for Scorpions, but they never used it, so he decided to give it to Tone Norum instead.

my suggestion for March: ON BROKEN WINGS, the underrated B-side

I think I've heard what Eva Tomorrow claimes before....
On Broken Wings, excellent choice, The 2nd Europe song I've ever heard. I had a friend that had the 12" maxi single and recorded it over and over. Only listened to my cassette for weeks and then bought Superstitious and Open Your Heart 12" maxi singles. The rest as they say, is a mistery.

Yeah for sure !! On broken wings !!!! Love it! Fantastic song ... full of energy One of those Europe's songs that leave you breathless from beginning to end ... I always thought that this song is very demanding for Ian, that constant rythm of the drum, that hits you throught all the song! It's really cool ... Just one day fo the reign of "Coast to Coast" the last day of the month, and from tomorrow will be the time of our song of MARCH 2016: SONG OF MARCH 2016 IN APHASIA FORUM : "ON BROKEN WINGS" Thank you so much EuropeMagnum

One of their best songs in my opinion. And to be honest; I never understood why it was left of the album. Does anyone has more insight details as of why they decided to drop it? And if so, was it a decision at the last moment? I remember that Cherokee was a last minute inclusion on the album. So does that mean that they choose to drop On broken wings in favour of Cherokee? Or was On broken wings destined to be a b-side song from the start?
