www.rockbladet.se/2015/01/joey-tempest-om-japan-och-nya-war-of-kings/According to this interview, WOK will be more classic rock oriented, with big fat riffs (something similar to SS) and less bluesy (I'm happy for it  ). I'm glad that Joey talks about the future and the band solid establishment with WOK and not playing with the 'nostalgia' card like some other bands from their era... IMO These 'new' Europe music and style fit me even more than the 80s glam stuff, because they have bigger energy, 'heavy as balls' hooks , soul and it's still the same Europe with big melodies. Everything goes straight from the core, as Joey says. And i feel it even now, WOK will only bring those things to another, higher level.

As for the pre-order of the album, I think I'll go with the standard CD. If the guys say there will be a DVD included in the digipak maybe I'll pre-order that one. |

Yes, great review. Although there's nothing very precise actually, it makes us dream a lot about what this album could be... Everyone of us can take what he likes. For me, it's this mention : "the more Metallic vibes that the 'heavier' fans have been waiting to return since "Secret Society" ". The magic word here is: SECRET SOCIETY  But "masterpiece" is another magic word...  It makes me more and more impatient.  Concerning the difference between the CD and the digipack, the band doens't say if there's a DVD included in the second one, it's true. But it happens often that EUROPE are the very last ones who tells their fans a new concerning themselves ! I've just noticed that several shops talk about a DVD added to the digipack, and the price of this digipack is higher than the CD ; so, if there's no dvd added, it means they are liers, and they are crooks ! I can't believe this... On the other side, nobody says what is in this mysterious DVD... And that's a bit strange.  So, I'll preorder WOK when I'll know a bit more about this. |

Looking at the site cdon.eu, seems to suggest there are 2 Discs (on the DigiPak version), with disc 2 being a DVD 'Vasastan' (Instrumental) (DVD). It does clearly state CD + DVD cdon.eu/music/europe/war_of_kings_-_digipack_%28cd%2Bdvd%29-31754377Perhaps they recorded a video for 'Vasastan' and made into a DVD, including the making of the video etc |

Seems strange to have a second disc just for one extra track. Why not just put it on disc one? But maybe there is in fact just one disc.
