Thanks stetrousers! I bought the album deluxe edition on iTunes today. I made it a point not to listen to any of the leaks or streaming links before I bought the album, so I could listen to the album with a fresh mind. And... It's a good album, but I think it will take some time to grow on me. The standout tracks for me so far are "Hole in My Pocket" and "Praise You". One thing I really miss on the album is the vocal harmonies. I think the only track that has harmonies is "California 405". I wonder if they had a specific reason for not doing more harmonies on this album?

That's one thing I'm missing also very much Stein-Vidar! Another thing that's interesting is that Norum has writing credits on only 3 or 4 songs. Which isn't that much I think. You would expect it to be more in some way or another...

It's another very strong album for me. I don't think there is a single track that I would regard as 'filler'. I have my own favourites, and I like that there's alot of keyboards. Production sounds excellent to me. It's a very diverse album with alot of influences. Might give 'Secret Society' a good challenge to become my favourite post reunion album.

I read in Classic Rock magazine that Dave Cobb is the reason for not having the vocal harmonies on the album, since hes not fond of it and think it sounds too "pop". I think Joey really shines on this album and think its fine with the raw approach. Theres (almost) only one guitar track on each song too..no rhytm guitars playing along the solos - its more natural, like a live-setting

Welcome to the forum, bucketfinck! I read in Classic Rock magazine that Dave Cobb is the reason for not having the vocal harmonies on the album, since hes not fond of it and think it sounds too "pop". I see. I personally don't agree with Dave. Even the heaviest tracks on albums like Start from the Dark and Secret Society had some great vocal harmonies and I don't think that made it sound like pop at all.

I've spent hundreds of hours (at least, seen Europe live 12 times..) on this forum without being registered.. so I thought it was about time:) After listening to the album two times I am very satisfied:)! To me it sounds like their best album.. at least since Secret Society ...And as stated before..no "fillers"
