I've listened to it a couple of times now. It's a nice song but to be honest it has nothing special so far. Well okay the bridge to the chorus is a bit special. And Norum's solo is okay-ish. Maybe in the flow of the whole album it'll be better. I hope there will be more uptempo stuff on the album because that's what is missing on the last couple of albums. Except for 'The Beast' it is mid tempo at best. I need more speed and power. Like on the 'Secret Society' album for example. So finger's crossed...

I have to admit I'm in the same boat as vielip.
I've listened to it a couple of times and it just doesn't blow me away. Maybe it will grow on me later on. Can't wait to see the music video.

After listening to it this whole day I think it's a pretty solid rocker. I agree that it's quite different than anything they've done, but guys - give it a try. It's a grower. I even saw some posts on the Internet about how it's boring and how they should go back to what they did in the 80s. I mean WTF :/ Let's wait 'til Monday about better audio and the official video (I think there is a lot more with a better audio)  About its subject, I see it as a kind of prophecy that is inevitable. Joey just delivers the message that's supposed to be delivered. |

Not 100% sure, but I thought the first verse might be 'a promise from the edge of madness...' at the beginning
I'm really not sure though. Could be coming from the edge of madness too. Might make more sense
