Reading that post from Joey, I also understood "new" as "unreleased songs". Maybe it was just my hope deep inside...but I also thought about Doghouse and such. Let's dream about it, at least in these 4 weeks until the shows take place!!!

Thank you Michaela ItalyHe gives more details about the shows, that's true. He also speaks again about "the new songs" they will play with their old ones. But you know what ? Suddenly, I realize that he uses the plural to talk about these new songs... This probably means EUROPE will perform "recent songs" from they new era albums, and not songs from the next album. I don't believe they are ready to perform "SONGS" from their next album. One song would be possible, but many songs, not at all !

My translation of the article:
Europe will play the whole breakthrough album NÖJESBLADET REVEALS: Will play the whole "Wings of tomorrow"
Swedish rock gods Europe will conclude their 30th anniversary at home. Now Nöjesbladet can reveal that they will play the whole "Wings of tomorrow" album. "It is unique, we have never done something like this before," says Joey Tempest, 50.
In March rock giants Europe will end their 30th anniversary tour with four concerts in Sweden. Now Nöjesbladet can reveal that the band will additionally play their breakthrough album "Wings of tomorrow" in its entirety.
"We made this decision very recently. We concluded that it would be fun to do something more unique, something that we have never done before," says Joey Tempest, 50, to Nöjesbladet.
Europe have never played an entire album live. They've also strayed from doing anniversary gigs.
"We have always had new albums out, have always had something going on. It has never felt right until now."
Got a million contract
The thing that makes it feel right is that the album turns 30 years old. For it is not just any album to the band - it's their breakthrough album.
"It has meant a lot to us. I remember I went to New York with these songs, and we managed to get a million dollar contract with Epic," says Tempest:
He says that the band's songwriting really got going on the album, which is their second one. "Open Your Heart " became their first hit, and the first one to be played on Swedish radio. It was with this one that it all started.
Will not change too much
30 years easily leave their mark. But the band will try to stay as close to the original versions of the songs as possible.
"Musically, I think we can update the album a bit. You don't want to change too much, but it will sound more experienced, have a little more drive."
Are there any goals that you have not acheived since 1984?
"We have toured almost everywhere but one place we did not get to is Australia, so we may get something going there."
Tempest says that they also would be happy to do a documentary, where they dig through old archives. They've been asked several times over the past ten years.
"But we do not believe that our trip is over yet. The main goal is to try and keep it together now, and to do five, ten more years would be great."
The band will come to Stockholm, Umeå, Luleå and Sundsvall between 3-8 March.
In addition to the album from 1984, they will play some new songs, and several old hits.

But I still keep hoping there could be 1 unreleased song... Hey Joey, are you out there by any chance? Do you read this? Please, give us a completely NEW song!!! Think about it, you have 4 weeks time...

Best Europe news of the decade, period! Cant wait to hear classics like Lying eyes, Wasted time and Dreamer (plugged) live. Even better that they will stay close to the original version! Hope there will be something released or available of these gigs. Can imagine they will take this beyond the 4 Swedish dates if it goes down well. Lets see!
Hope that WoT will influence the new album, they might find some inspiration from this classic album!!
Great to see the guys so dynamic and full of surprises these days.
Rock on! Alex

Hi, I'm also going to the Stockholm gig! Wings is my fave Europe album by far and I've always said; if they're ever going to play it live in it's entirety I'm going. I'm so excited and very much looking forward to it!! Are there people on here who can give me advise and tips on what to visit in Stockholm? Are there Europe related things to visit for example? Studio, pubs (if I'm correct the Rock the night video was shot at the Hardrock café?) or other places? I'm staying from sunday til' wednesday so plenty of time to enjoy the city

It was good and excited . I remember I asking a waiter to show me some article that they could have of EUROPE, he smile and took me to an area where there are several things of the band. (I don't remember well, .. but I took some pics) Legend has it that sometimes can see to John Norum sitting there (in the Hard Rock Cafe) ... so good luck to you! Sadly I didn't see him . Welcome to the forum vielip ...
