Your funniest memory in a EUROPE show.

It's really not funny , but I remember it how a situation a little "mind-boggling ", ... in Sweden, last June, 30th anniversary concert, I was ill and feverish, I think I was the only one that was not full of beer there, in my opinion the concert was scheduled too much late, ... and stood at the entrance of the enclosure, was full, but I remember that there was a man beside me on the floor, completely unconscious, and the body in a position that contradicted the laws of gravity, his arms were airborne, ... I promise you that I thought that the man was not breathing, I looked to see if there were people with him, friends or family, you know, ... I thought, tomorrow I'll read in the newspapers the bad news, was strange, too much beer, and at that time of night people wore all day drinking, ...

I guess the man survived but must have had a horrible hangover ( ) ... Definitely I don't like festivals.

An unforgettable memory, in Stockholm during the "Europe and Takida tent tour" (august 2011, I think...).
I attended 4 shows of this tour, and at every of them something special happened to me !

I Stockholm, my hotel was very close to the show place -same garden in fact.
So, it was easy to hear when Europe began their soundcheck.
I rushed near the tent : it was very early, 1 PM, so none barricade had been put there yet -contrary to the other shows, where it was not possible to see the soundchecks.

I dared not come too near the stage, because I was the only fan here, and some trucks were still working to bring the material. And I was very shy... So, I sat on the grass, at about 60 meters from the stage.

There was the usual technicians, then Europe members arriving quietly : Ian, Leven, Tempest, etc.

Suddenly, I noticed a boy coming on stage with his guitar ; he looked like a teenager with his cap on his head.
I thought it was maybe Tony, the youngest of Europe's crew.
He began to play the guitar. Quick. Veeeery quick. He was so, so good !!!
I thought : "Hey, is someone in the band aware that this tech guy is a genius ? Do they know it ?"

The boy was going on playing, and it was simply awesome.
Then Europe began to play with him, too, and as he was talking with them, I saw his face, not familiar but not completely unknown.

And suddenly, I understood. I had read one of Ian posts, where he talked about a surprise for the audience, and told they had met Joey Bonamassa in his concert, the day before : so it was him !
Yes, it was Joe Bonamassa, rehearsing for his appearance with Europe in the evening.

I had my camera with me, but dared not film anything : I was afraid that someone told me to go away.
But you know what ? Finally, I had to go away anyway, because my son came and call me : he had tickets for visiting Stockholm, and was tired of waiting for me...

So, I had to let Europe during what I like the most : their soundcheck.
And I even didn't have any video to keep the memory of the famous "genius crew-boy"...

A funny memory, not during the show itself, but when I was in Sweden last year for Upplands Vasby festival.

My husband and me were visiting Stockholm. In Gamla stan, near the royal palace, we suddenly saw some beautiful soldiers arriving for the changing of the guard.
We were about to climb outside stairs leading to the highest palace place, but we stopped and stepped aside to let them pass.
They walked in front of us, climbed the stairs, and we began to climb too , following close behind them.

There were a lot of tourists taking pictures...
Suddenly, I noticed a girl watching at me insistently, an it gave me an idea :

That day,I was wearing a chignon and a summer dress with kind of "golden" embroideries on it. The perfect clothes for a joke (I must say I like to do jokes.)..! So, I took the most "royal" air I could, stopped at the middle of the stairs, and turning towards the people downstairs, I waved with dignity like a queen would have done. The girl looked stunned, nudged her friends with her elbows, and began to photograph me !! They were so excited ! It was really funny.

The other people watched me too, but they were laughing, understanding it was a joke. But that girl, she really believed I was an important member of the royal family !!!
