The Battle of the Songs: Ready or not!

Well, technically, yes...but then I should change my nickname to give another vote to Always the pretenders and I'm kinda attached to my nickname so, no, I'm sorry . You can only hope for a last minute miracle!

Hello dear Aphasians , the time for voting the third session of Phase V is at last over. What a fight!!!
Let’s have a look to the results:

In my time vs. Always the pretenders: 7 – 8

Seven doors hotel vs. Cherokee: 11 – 4

So Always the pretenders and Seven doors hotel join the final eight . What an exciting and dramatic ending! I had already written the epitaph for “Always the pretenders” and consequently for Secret society (the album). But in the last five hours the result was turned upside down. I’m sad for "In my time" and I perfectly understand why it gathered so many votes (by the way the two songs were in the same group also in Phase IV and got both 9 votes!). But the good side of it is that we only have to say farewell to one album (instead of two). And this album is: The final countdown! No songs out of this album reach the final eight since, in the other match, Cherokee was largely overtaken by Seven doors hotel. What can I say? We’ve probably been too stern to that album, due to the fact that it has consumed the needles of our turntables and the lens of our cd players. Moreover the draw coupled the surviving songs in very difficult matches. But, what’s done is done, and the show must go on.

Last look at Eden vs. Gonna get ready
If you love the “Eden” album you will hate this match. The first or the second track? Full orchestra or straight guitar? Have you seen the truth or learned the hardest way?

Ready or not vs. Bag of bones
Rock or blues? ’80 or ’10? The Rolling Stones or The Beatles? This match perfectly shows the sense (or non-sense) of this game. Is it possible to compare two songs so different from each other? Even if they are the two souls of the same band I’d say no, but it’s nonetheless funny!

ATTENTION, please. This session will last only TWO DAYS (due to personal issues) and will therefore close on next Thursday, October the 24th at 22.00. I hope that you’ll all be able to cast your vote in time because everyone’s presence is, as always, much appreciated (and, as the last run has demonstrated, very important for the destiny of your favorite song in this game).
