Hello dear friends , it’s time to count the votes for these first two matches of Phase V:
Open your heart vs. A mother’s son: 10 – 4
Girl from Lebanon vs. Stormwind: 10 – 4
So Open your heart and Girl from Lebanon are the first two songs in the final eight . In both the battles the winning song has largely overtaken the other. Does it mean that they are serious candidates to the first position? We’ll see.
Now the next battles:
No stone unturned vs. The final countdown
Should we leave no stone unturned or rather leave together towards Venus?
Memories vs. Wake up call
The runaway from the past or the attempt to connect with it again?
I guess that both the matches are very interesting and uncertain. The first one is very suggestive and has many talking points. Is “No stone” majestic enough to resist to “The countdown” assault, as Eva Tomorrow believes, or it’s just a sort of “Jarre-rock-shake” as Marina Art suggests? I’m curious to know your opinions. Interestingly enough these two songs were in the same group in Phase IV and “No stone” got one point more than “The countdown”. But then it was possible to choose both. This time one is in, one is out.
The second battle is between two outsider rockers. One from the very first album and the other from the first album after the comeback. None of them was released as a single but they both have a place in the heart of the fans and of the band (Memories acoustic version was recorded live for the Almost Unplugged and a live version of Wake up call was chosen as bonus track for the “yellow” LLAE). I think they have a lot in common despite the fact that they’re separated by twenty years.
This session will close on next Saturday, October the 19th at 22.00. Everyone (and I mean really everyone!) is invited to participate (hopefully in an odd number, I still don’t have a B-plan in case of a draw but I’m frantically thinking about it ).
Enjoy
