Please, ent, don't let me change my vote even if I pray with (virtual) tears. What is done is done. Don’t worry gemaim. You probably know the story of Odysseus and the Sirens: he wanted to hear the enchanting and hypnotic song of the Sirens but he knew it would have been dangerous. So he asked his crew to tie him tight to the mast of the ship and ordered his sailors to fill their ears with wax. And not to untie him no matter how much he would have cried. And he cried a lot, pleaded to be untied, shouted loud but his sailors left him where he was. This is how Odysseus became the only man to have heard the song of the Sirens and survive long enough to tell his story. I will be just as strong as an Odysseus' sailor . I will fill my (virtual) ears with (virtual) wax and will be adamant. No matter how much you cry, scream or plead, I will not change your vote. I’ll be as steady as a rock because I’ve got (don’t you imagine?) a heart of stone. Naaa, just kidding. Ask and it will be done! [/quote]

" ...And the precious "In my time" is positioning itself well in these last hours, ... if there are any more "brave heart of Norumhead" over here, you have still time to support it, and to get this song pass to the Olympus of the 16 best EUROPE's songs, a list that is costing many tears getting and much pain in our decisions. .. but that it will be part of the history ..."

My vote: for the first spot for me it's gonna be always the pretenders. I couldn't make without. But the choice for the second spot is terrible. Heart of stone means a lot to me and I'd never let it down. But in the final 16 we already have Gonna get ready that I consider somehow an updated version of Heart of stone. The beast is also beautiful and energetic. But as gemaim has fairly pointed out we've already cut away Aphasia, Boyazont and Devil sings the blues. I think that a long solo by our great guitar hero should be featured among the final 16. Besides, In my time is a wonderful song with a beautiful acustic guitar, poignant lyrics and an inspired melody. So I'll go for: - Always the pretenders - In my timeSee you in a few hours for the final result.

Hello boys and girls , the time to vote the songs of Group G is now expired. First of all let me thank you all once again for your wonderful participation to this game. We’re getting many in here (new higher number of voters per single session), but I think that there’s still a lot of space for anyone to join. And I’ve seen that there are also some drinks over there, so come in, the fun is free of charge! As for the result of this group…well, do you really want to know it? I still cannot believe to these figures. Take a look: Always the pretenders: 9 In my time: 9The beast: 8 Heart of stone: 8So "Always the pretenders" and "In my time" join the final 16 . Now, I expect that many of you will be disappointed with this result. One more voter could have changed everything. I think we’ve reached a point where it is really impossible to say which song is better (and we’re still only selecting among 32 songs! ). The good side of this situation is that, whatever was your preference, we’ve elected two beautiful songs: if it hurts for the songs left behind, try to focus on the songs that won the group. Maybe it eases some pain. And now let’s introduce the next group: Group H Tomorrow (1988) Ready or not (1988) Girl from Lebanon (1991) New love in town (2009)
Three songs from the old days plus New love in town. This group is formed by: - From "Out of this world" one of the most loved ballads, with Joey’s shining voice reaching incredible heights without losing a single gram of power; - An engaging up-tempo, again from OOTW, the perfect closer of the A side of the Lp and the perfect opener for a gig; - The only surviving track (among the 32) from the Prisoners album, brilliant from the melodic guitar intro to the majestic chorus, that you cannot help but sing when played live; - The second single out of the Eden album, the most successful Europe song in the charts since Superstitious, that celebrates the birth of Joey’s son. Good, this is the last group of this Phase IV and it’s aimed to select the last two songs that will join the final sixteen. Not the easiest of the groups but, at least for me, not so terrible as the previous two. Remember that this session will close on next Sunday October the 13th at 22.00. Now the floor is yours and I’d like to greet you with these words that (in a peculiar way ) suit the moment pretty well: It's getting late, late in the evening, we've got a little situation. It's getting hard, so very hard. I'm gonna need some attention. Just relax, enjoy yourself for a while.
