The Battle of the Songs: Ready or not!

Hello forumers , the time to vote the songs of Group E is now expired. Once again we assisted to a very uncertain battle. One vote can really make the difference, I’ve told it a few times, and that’s what in fact happened. The result:

Last look at Eden: 9
Stormwind: 9
Start from the dark: 8
Firebox: 6

Last look at Eden and Stormwind join the final 16 . Firebox leaves the game (with no tears from me, but I know that it’s much loved by many of you out there). And the same goes for Start from the dark. In this case my heart bleeds . And not because Stormwind doesn’t deserve to be among the final 16, but it’s just very hard to part from such a big song like Start. I refuse even to consider the possibility that Eden could have have been out despite the fact it got very close to this end.
And now let’s introduce the next group:

Hero (2004)
Flames (2004)
Gonna get ready (2009)
Bag of bones (2012)

Fate (with a little help from vicky) gathered together four songs of the new era. This group is formed by:

- The second single from the reunion album, the declaration of love from a fan to his youth hero (Phil Lynnot), easily transposable to Europe fans;
- The pounding and shaking track, again from the reunion album, with its soft beginning followed by an impressive explosion of energy;
- The classic rocker from the “apple” album. A riff that’s like the shot of a gun and a catchy melody: the perfect Europe trademark;
- The incredible title track from the most recent work, a slow ballad that unpredictably turns into a power chorus (featuring Joe Bonamassa at the slide guitar).

When I first saw the groups I thought that this one and the next would have been the hardest for me. Whatever will be the final result, it’s going to be a great success (or a total fail, if you look at the other side of the coin). It’s going be real hard and that’s why everyone should cast the vote. You’ve been fantastic ‘til now (this last session was again very successful) but, just to be sure, I’d like address you (and everyone’s out there, v.i.p. or not ) these words, that you might have already heard somewhere:
We're just laying down this track (the one and only Europe international forum)
Guess I'll have to call you back (it’s duty time!)
But it doesn't matter (well, actually, it does!)
We'll connect again one day (but please before next Monday, October the 7th at 22.00, ok?)
And the song will find its way (yes, but which song?)
Like a wake up, wake up call (It’s your turn, choose your favorite two!)

"Gonna Get Ready" gets the first spot.

But then the second spot... "Flames" or "Bag of Bones"? Hmmm... Right now I'll go with "Flames".
