Gawd...this is a tough one!! There's so many from SS and SFTD - two albums I adore. And then my faves from OOTW.... Love Is Not The Enemy Always The Pretenders Those two were easy...but the next two? It boils down between these four: Flames, Wake Up Call, Superstitious and More Than Meets the Eye. My apologies to Ninja and Homeland (although I enjoy the youtube clip from 1992 live performance in Brussels of Homeland.) I have a soft spot in my heart for Superstitious, I really, really do and I do enjoy More Than Meets The Eye but...I'm going with meaty weightiness of 21st Century Europe all the way here. So Sir Ent, here's my selection for this group: Love Is Not The Enemy Always The Pretenders Flames Wake Up Call

"Aphasia" has had the support of its Norumheads, but unfortunately not enough ... Oooops ! I realize I'm among the "norumheads", and I didn't vote for "Aphasia"...(but IMO, a Europe song needs the involvment of ALL the Europe members to be a real Europe song, and on Aphasia, JTempest doesn't sing... that's why I didn't vote for it : Aphasia is not completely a "true" Europe song ) For this group, my choice will be : -Always the pretenders -Love is not the enemy -Wake up callFor the 4th song, I'm balancing between "More than meets" and "Superstitious". I'm a bit tired of Superstitous sometimes, but that's an enormous song played live ; and I'm always happy to year it at Europe shows. At the contrary, in the past I had my "More than meets the eyes" era : it was one of my favorites. But I didn't enjoyed it very much when they played it live in Bornemouth and Bristol. So, I pick : -SuperstitiousGood night ladies and gentlemen . You know what, "dazzling-ent" ? I like to be called a lady Here’s the result of Group D: Open your heart (WOT version): 11 Tomorrow: 11 Cherokee: 10 Spirit of the underdog: 8Aphasia: 6 A long time comin’: 3 Children of this time: 2 Boyazont: 1The first four songs win the group . As it was expected among them there are the two historical ballads and the “Indian number”. The surprise comes from the “black album” track (not really an underdog in this case!), that kicked Aphasia out of the game. Wow ! I think that's the first times all my favorites win ! So, as a personal consideration, after here comes the night and love chaser, another of my indispensable songs has left. :cry:On the other side, I must say that the list of the sixteen elected tracks (so far) is not bad at all! ent, be careful, the cry emoticon didn't work because you didn't let a space after it : I'm missing it Sooo, in the blink of an eye we’ve come halfway the Phase IV. As the great American long-jump recordman Bob Beamon once said: “whatever you do, don’t do it halfway”. Great words, as usual !

So happy for the result of "Tomorrow", is a magical song . Here we go again, ... these three songs are clear to me, especially Ninja, it has a great energy, I love this song: Flames Ninja Wake up calland about the last song I was thinking about "Always the pretenders" and the sweet "Homeland", ... and my choice is for the first, "Always the pretenders" because there already are others wonderful balads ...

This is my choice: 1) Supertitious: so many memories on this one, with my kids singing along the streets of Bamberg and with Joey turning to us at Rock of Ages during this song, he came along the stage and all of a sudden he turned his head to us and OMG! his face, his eyes, the whole expression was the Joey of '86-'87, like he could throw away 25 years in a single instant. I have got a stamp of it in my head. I didn't believe it was possible anymore for me to see THAT Joey of the past, well for just a moment, he was there! 2) Ninja 3) Always the pretenders 4) Wake up call All the others that I discarded in reality are very much aligned to the forth one for me, but I decided that each of us needs a wake up call from time to time... particularly when we don't even know but we are too much!

I think it was in Norway. Suddenly, it was "baby Tempest" who was there... 2) Ninja 3) Always the pretenders 4) Wake up call All the others that I discarded in reality are very much aligned to the forth one for me, but I decided that each of us needs a wake up call from time to time... particularly when we don't even know but we are too much! Out of topic... Don't know if someone noticed it formerly, but on the main page of this forum, at the bottom, in the "Users Online in the Last 24 Hours" section, right now it's written : "1 Staff, 12 Members, 352 Guests." I think that "352" guests is an important and unusual number on this forum, don't you think so ? Maybe it's related to this interesting thread ? To the incredible suspense of our votes ?? (Or perhaps that's just very usual, but I didn't noticed it before... )

"Aphasia" has had the support of its Norumheads, but unfortunately not enough ... Wonderful picture and it really seems like Joey's comforting John! Actually I don't know if I have to laugh or cry (this is for you Lady guesswho?) Now, for the current session, the first three spots are quite easy: - Superstitious: c'mon guys, there's no need to say why, this is so great! To get aware of its greatness just go back to 1988 and think that this song was chosen to be the successor of TFC! What a responsability, but it carried it very well IMO. The a capella intro, the main riff, the amazing solo, the bridge , the chorus, the video! This song has it all! - Always the pretenders: another tune full of energy. I still remember when I first heard the sample of this: I got so excited. Then when I bought the single and I just couldn't stop playing it. A big one! - Wake up call: One of my favorites from SFTD. Now for the last spot it's very very hard. I'm balancing between Flames and Ninja and I can't get decided. Flames with its stubborn bass or ninja with is wild guitar? From the musical point of view they move in the same way so it's gonna be up to the lyrics. My choice will be: - Flames
