Sold out show, already ! (and Strasbourg is too !) In 2010, the EUROPE show at Paris was sold out as well... Wel, it seems everytime they are coming in France, the venues are full. Therefore, I hope they'll come again next year, for even more dates !

I didn't film at all last night. But there's already some fine videos on youtube :
Open your heart :
They played this song in the 3 shows, but every time it was a bit different... This version was very nice (my favorite with the one of Paris). I'm happy that they decided to play this song instead of Dreamer for their shows in France. I like dreamer very much too, and I would have enjoyed to hear it live, of course. But if I must choose only one, then I prefer this one.

A special message for watercolour girl-Eva bagg : Mic was a bit less active yesterday than in Paris. In Paris, he played all the time little solos or impros ! And, fortunately, it was where i brought my camera. See the thread about Paris for more news about it ! But what I wanted to add here : although I was on Norum side, I could hear everything Mic played : so I think the sound men really improved this aspect, as it was not always the case formerly... The sound was really perfect and well-balanced for all the 3 concerts in France. ! The lights were fantastic too ! However, there was a little technical problem with the smoke : during the 3 shows, Mic, and sometimes Ian, were completely invisible. :-X That's probably a factor diificult to control : maybe the smoke travels in a different way with the ventilation of the venues... I don't know the reason. But the fact is that Mic was nearly always invisible, even for people in the 4th row like me ! And this not a good thing. A pity for all his fans.

This show was awesome. What a group of virtuosos ! The band was more relax than in Paris. In Paris, during the first few songs, JTempest was a bit tense. I've noticed it happens to him when there's a bigger stake : at the beginning, he's slighty nervous, and therefore his voice is more restrained, and his moves not so light and easy ; that's where he makes a lot of grins, too. Then, after a while he's getting more relax, and then, the "BIG" Tempest shows all his best. In Strasbourg and Lyon, he was more relax, and so, he was at his very best from the beginning... He talked a lot. He was funny. Norum was a bit different too : he was more "loving" towards the audience. Generally, he seems to be in his own world, like a kind of god of guitar far from the ordinary crowd. But yesterday, there was something warm getting out of him. Diificult to express clearly what I felt... So the word "love" towards his audience seems the best. However, I have a question concerning his solo song : WHY DOES HE SING A SONG FROM SOMEONE ELSE, INSTEAD OF ONE OF HIS OWN SONGS ? Big mystery to me...

Ms. Guess who?, thanks for your wonderful report ! I understand and I can even see Norum's face. That makes me smile and happy. Especially I support your description" kind of god of guitar"! MMMM envy you !

However, there was a little technical problem with the smoke : during the 3 shows, Mic, and sometimes Ian, were completely invisible. :-X The same happened here in Argentina when they played, maybe is too much smoke for these kind of venues. By the way, great reports, thanks!!!

Mr Tempest speaking French in Lyon : He has a charming accent. At the beginning (a bit cut), he said : You are wonderful" , and everybody said "Ohhh!", completely delighted. And then, he added "sausage"... Well, he likes to please his fans, but quickly set them on the straight and narrow again . He gives, and then takes back. He was so funny at this moment ! At Strasbourg and Paris, he said something I didn't understand, until he repeated it in Lyon : it was a phrase that tried to be rude, but didn't mean anything in the context of a Europe show, in fact. "cà va chier" (literaly "it's going to defecate") means "it's going to be very boring". It can't be applied to a concert by the great band EUROPE !!! I wonder who told him to tell this...
