I feel sorry for all those who were to attend the Oslo gig. Such a pity that a cancellation happens for such an easily avoidable circumstance of the wrong tires. I'm sure the band will be able to re-schedule the gig for another date pretty soon. They won't forget their Scandinavian fans

They could have borrowed some guitars and done an acoustic set or spoken word! Extended question answer haha. That sucks.

Wow.. New here, but that's incredible bad luck. Thought about it: "how bad could it be right? You live where? Lillehammer or something?" Then I read Båtsfjord.. That's like living in Spain in distance I think, and then deciding on a gig in Oslo and then going and have it cancelled. Jeez.. That trip is expensive, I know the plane costs to Northern Norway.
Myself I can add something to the story, having seen the Bergen gig, I went to my car behind Grieghallen where the truck was already with the engines on and ready to go. Said to my friend as we're walking in the snowstorm: "Have a good trip over the mountains tonight! I won't be surprised if the gig tomorrow in Oslo is cancelled because of the weather." I'd hate to drive myself in conditions like that. I didn't look at the tires so I can't confirm the summer tires story but the trip is bad enough with perfect winter tires in weather like that. It was probably the worst snowstorm in years and we don't have that many. REALLY bad luck! I feel for you.
The gig in Bergen was excellent, really amazing sound! Sat in row 12 and enjoyed every minute, I have never heard better sound at a rock concert ever and I've seen a few in 20 years. Had they done 5 gigs in a row like that, I'd seen all 5, it was that good! Only song I missed was 7 Doors, Heart Of Stone.. and maybe something from SFTD. Fantastic!

Ohhhh! Terrible!!! I'm so sorry for you, Stein and for all other fans. I would have burnt myself at the front gate!!!! hehehhe, but it is so frustrating! Well, I wish you get a rewarding show when they re-schedule the date. Warm hugs from Chile...where summer tires work well in December...

I feel sorry for all the fans that went to Oslo... and concert was cancelled for such stupid reason. How could organizers and drivers not expect bad weather in December? They could book shows with a day off in between, just in case. Also would have been nice for the band to go and say hi to all the fans waiting, chat a bit, or at least 1-2 band members, and fans that came from far away, would have some meaning to their trip, even with concert cancelled and money spent for traveling. I went to see the band all the way from Canada to Germany, and arranged the trip months in advance... and worried for same reasons up to the day/the time of the concert... phew! I was lucky, nothing was cancelled! Even though I didn't meet the band after the concert, I saw another band, Gotthard that evening... apparently Steve Lee for the last time ...anyway, sorry for Stein and others!
