Have you ever heard a Europe song? This is Europe's version of Cherokee which he has just recorded guitar on top of. Wich also means that this is not a cover version, It's just the original song which you recorded way too loud guitar on.

1. Wladimir, I'll have to agree with Alek. This is not a cover version. Why don't you try to record the whole track by yourself next time? I've heard some of your Europe backing tracks on YouTube, so I know you could do it.
2. Alek, try to be a bit more tactful when addressing other members the next time.

Sorry if it's not a cover properly said, I'm not the singer obviously. As Alek said, it's just the original track with the guitar recorded over it. If it's not a cover, then how could I name it? (in order to change the name of the video and the name of this topic). And yes, I agree with Alek on the matter that the guitar sound is way louder than the original, but as I said, I recorded on an improvised way. And yes, Stein, this guy should be more tactful towards people.

Youtube is full of "covers" by young people playing only the guitar parts of their favorite bands and songs... and they call them "covers". Just because europefanwagr didn't put video of his playing to see that he covers only the guitar part, doesn't mean he has to avoid using word "cover". What else should he call it? Here is a friend's kid who does the same and call it a "cover" Tell me if this is wrong.

Here is a friend's kid who does the same and call it a "cover" Tell me if this is wrong. You want me to tell you that you are wrong? Ok, You are wrong. According to you I play a cover song everytime I play my guitar? No, playing guitar to a song is called Playing a song/guitar. It has nothing to do with europefanwagr not having a video of him playing. That's not the definition of a cover either. So maybe you should get a dictionary or go to a little place called Shutty-Town So the right thing to say is "This is me playing....." or something along those lines. However my main point in my first post was to try to grasp how any human being could actually ask "Is that you singing" when you not only clearly hear that it is JOEY TEMPEST, but also that it is the original song from the album. In my book you either have to be blind (not seeing that it's not actually Joey Tempest, and thinking that he posted a cover of his own song on youtube) or deaf to ask a question like that. For "tomorrow"'s sake, I hope she's both. .....So what's everybody doing for Christmas

alek, I asked a question, based on my observation on youtube of how people put in the titles "cover" of their playing, so you could explain nicely, if you know better. According to you, Wlad should say "This is me playing....." but he said exactly that: "Hello! I recorded myself playing Cherokee." And for the title of the thread, it is Wlad's choice, to make a short title, and then explained it with his post. I don't see the need of you starting and argument from nothing and making fun of tomorrow, and sending me to Shutty Town, which is very rude of you, totally unprovoked.

alek, your comment about my possible "massive brain injury" is in very bad taste, ... even when someone believes that another user writes something wrong, has a mistake,or said something with which we disagree, there is a common rule for all of us (except for you as I've seen) and is the respect.

Lina: You asked a question, and I answered, Jeeze-Louigi! As I said, my initial post was not about the "cover" thing, that was just a side note to just let him know. I don't care. And why do you still go on about it? It's not a cover so I'm right no matter what you say. And we all know the meaning of life, right? To be right!
And tomorrow, you didn't say how you could think that was anyone besides 1980's Joey Tempest. I mean, could I post Rock The Night (the original track from the TFC album) and tell you I recorded a cover where I play the drums, bass, keys, guitars and sing, and you would believe me? That's disturbing So if there's a common rule: Respect. I assume that you respect me then? And no, I don't follow no rules. Heck, if "rules" were on twitter, it would follow ME.
