Now that ive had chance to listen to BOB many many times, I have to be honest when I say that I prefer LLAE. I can easily listen to LLAE all the way thru, i dont think that there is a bad song on that album, however I have found myself skipping the odd track or two on BOB, depending on my mood at the time. Dont get me wrong, I think BOB is a fantastic album in its own right. The problem is Europe set the bar so high with LLAE that they made it in my opinion too strong an album to better this time round. Just my humble opinion Europe have been and always will be my favourite band and I hope they continue to make the amazing music they have done since their reunion. I have recently really got into stone sour and I suppose i would like to hear more heavier stuff from Europe such as "the beast" and "run with the angels", what a tune that is. Also one last thing does anyone know if Europe have ever played, "Secret Society" live. Thats one track I would love to see them play live. \m/

Well, personnaly, I think LLAE is weakier than BOB. But that's only my opinion, of course. I think you and me agree on a very essential point, however : EUROPE is an amazing band !!!

I prefer BoB. it's less compromising and less symphonic. IMO not every song does need a classical orchestration. LLAE is still a good album, but my least favorite of all post-reunion records. i would rank it that way: 1. SS 2. BoB / SFTD 4. LLAE

But it is fine that we have different tastes and still we all love the band's products. It means that they're all quality music that can meet different sensibilities and moods I agree almost completely with stetrousers (welcome btw!). Great respect for Bob which is a superb piece of music, but LLAE was immense!

When we discussed this issue always say the same, I can hardly say that I like an album rather than another in its entirety, each of them has a song for me is essential ... LLAE is a great album and has incredible songs like "In my time" or "Last Look at Eden" and BOB has gems like "Firebox" and "My Woman my friend" ... hard choice for me, almost impossible. The album more special to me for the moment that appeared is "Start from the Dark" ... was the beginning of something that at that time did not know if it would work or not ... and fortunately it was the beginning of a stage full of good songs ...

Both Excellent albums, but BOB is the stronger one for me, for reasons i have said before:
1). There are no fillers whereas on LLAE i think there were one or 2 that I didn't particularly like (U Devil U, and Mojito Girl). 2). The production and mastering to my ears sounds far superior to LLAE 3). The songs themselves are equally good if not better, and have more complex arrangements in places. 4). I think you can hear all the individual instruments better on BOB. 5). i think JT's voice has matured and improved even since LLAE

But he is a great time, this evolution in his voice is perfect for an album full of soul as BOB ...
