It's the only photo I've ever seen where he plays that guitar. I do think that in the booklet for Final Countdown, he's thanking Ibanez... But never seen it live or any other places.

What about the guitar he played in 1984 in Stockholm (Bagen/Rocksugen). Isn't that an Ibanez too? Now, during TFC era, I don't remember him playing one.

I have about 1800 photos of Europe with very good quality. In total I have 3452 photos of all kinds, scanned from magazines, downloaded from the internet and enhanced with AI.... This is Europe 1984

Seeing as this thread is about John Norum playing rarely-seen guitars, I figured these pictures of him playing an Explorer would fit right at home in this thread. The first picture was featured in the magazine Gig from 1986. You can see the complete scans in this thread. The second picture was featured in the official biography Den stora rockdrömmen from 1987. You can see the complete scans in this thread. By the way, I think Norum was playing an Explorer at a gig in Östersund 1984. It sure looks like an Explorer.

Thank you very much for sharing these awesome pictures, keemarcello ! Ohh, thanks. If you like photos of Europe, I have more than 3000, scanned, original, original with watermark removed.... I have about 1500 with great quality, that is, originals that I bought, and others that I found without watermark (which originally had it, I know) In any case, if you like them I will share them little by little, since only 3 photos can be uploaded per post....
