I do apologise, I'll keep my thoughts to myself in future..... I don't mind, no. It's your right. But...As far as I know, this forum has a special section for such nostalgic topics.Maybe you (or Stein) should move this topic there? Which section are you talking about?

I think that it would be amazing yet unlikely, since it's more of a galloping style and Norum said in an interview (I think it's on the SRF DVD) that they don't tend to write songs with a galloping style anymore because it's very tiring. So, I think they won't play that song. The final countdown has a galloping style also...and Wasted time, In the future to come and Days of rock & roll too

Hell yeah, brilliant suggestion! All in favor; fits their current vibe and would be an absolute killer live. Let’s send a petition to the band, haha!!
That galopping riff indeed seems a bit of a trade mark i just got to realize again.
On a different note: the guys are so strong live these days. No comparison with legendary Whitesnake and terrible Bon Jovi. Joey just seems to get better!

Agreed, i was already a Bon Jovi fan before getting into Europe and later got into Whitesnake, but seeing them live these days is just sad, while Europe, SOMEHOW got even better.

Yes they (Europe) are miles ahead of most of these bands. They sound incredible live. Very powerfull.

Children of This Time is faster than TFC and Days of Rock and Roll. I understand him though, it's kinda tiring But I would love to see that song played live.

Let's not forget Scream of Anger wich is also pretty fast.

I remember an interview where Norum said that in the past they thought that everything had to be fast en furious. Well that's kinda true mr. Norum! To be honest; the last couple of albums lack some more uptempo stuff. 1 or 2 songs per album is the max nowadays so it seems. Hell, Joey even had to beg for an uptempo song while recording Walk the earth. And Norum came up with a riff that turned into GTO. Thank God for that! I think that the time is right for the next album to go back to more uptempo songs. 4 or 5 or even more. Even if it is for just changing the direction a little bit. Keep it fresh and interesting. Just my 2 cents though...

vielip, I completely agree with you! I would love more uptempo tracks on the next album! As for "Children of This Time", it's never been one of my favorite songs from the first album, but it would be very interesting to hear that song live again! One song I would really love to hear live again is "Words of Wisdom". Just like "Children of This Time", it hasn't been played live since 1983!
