There are people out there that claim that Europe doesn’t always play TFC in concerts.
I totally disagree with that.
Why would they skip their biggest hit? Especially since they love to play it live and the fans love to hear it.
In fact some fans expect them to play it.
I read in an interview with Joey that they were talking about skipping it on their way to Download at Donington in 2012 and they ended up in a traffic jam, and had to cancel the gig, they took that as a sign NOT to skip TFC ever.
Anyway i have a very strong feeling this is just bulls***.

Anyway i have a very strong feeling this is just bulls***. You are correct, Jimmy.  Ever since the song was played live for the very first time on the first gig of the Final Countdown tour, on April 29, 1986 in Gävle, it has always been part of the setlist.  |

Didn't knew there was an encore, was it recorded? Well, I do know that EUROPE records every concert. I'm guessing it's done for archival purposes. However, they've only released five of the songs from the iTunes festival: www.discogs.com/Europe-iTunes-Festival-London-2010/release/13490719I wonder why they didn't just release the entire set, especially considering they only played eight songs.  |

I guess this just testifies to the fact that TFC is THAT big of a song....that not hearing it in a concert would probably throw the whole event off real bad.
And that, whenever it is played, the intro is enough to set the crowd off with a massive pop....the type of instant cheer that can bust eardrums. @.O
