Curitiba! Due to the severe hailstorm we simply couldn’t finish the show. We really tried but finally the electricity went and it was no longer safe on stage.
It was the first time since 1986 we did not play The Final Countdown at a major show!
But you guys were great in the audience and we will do our best to return again.

And it's good that EUROPE chose to err on the side of caution here. It's better to be safe from violent weather than taking risks in pissing off Mother Nature, who can be in the foulest of moods sometimes. o.o

I think they meant it was the first time they hadn't played the song at a major show since the release of the TFC single in early 1986, a couple of months before the first leg of the Final Countdown tour.
