We've seen a lot of them in several threads, we talked a lot about it....but this must be THE most uncomfortable playback video I ever saw. Joey doesn't even have a mic! I know I know, 1986, they had to do it and it was normal. But c'mon! PS: Could this actually be the one that made Norum decide to quit the band?

This performance was mentioned in one OKEJ article from 1986: The French trade union for TV technicians forbids the use of microphones for playback artists. If it’s fake, it is fake, they think, so Joey has to lip-sync without a microphone. It looks different, but he can do it without looking unprofessional. You can read the entire article by going to the WOT site, then go to Articles and check out "EUROPE in Paris on their PR-tour".

I don't know if i should laugh or cry at this, it looks so stupid! Joey singing without a mic looks incredibly fake and distracting, Ian is like "are we really doing this?", John Léven Looks like he's not even paying attention, John Norum and Mic are trying to look like they're having fun but looking pretty stupid in the process and do i have to mention Norum's shirt.

I think it's especially funny watching it without sound to see what it was really like for them. I'm glad it's not 1986 anymore, so I (hopefully) won't have to do that if I'm ever in a successful band!
