A few months ago, in this fb post : www.facebook.com/europetheband/photos/a.10150602825824210/10156331481764210/?type=3&theaterEurope wrote : "When all is said and done. When push comes to shove. At the end of the day. Hands down! What is your absolute favourite Europe album?" "All is said and done"... does it mean they are searching for inspiration ? When you have the feeling everything is done, it may mean it's difficult to find new ideas. Perhaps Europe would appreciate some indications of what we, Europe fans, are dreaming about ?

My first comment will be for Mic Michaeli: We don't need melotron anymore.
Please, more hammond organ sound instead!!!

I think it's hard to guess what they are going for the next time around. I know you mentioned the question about what album is your favorite from their FB post, but I wouldn't think that would actually have any bearing on what they would do.
Personally I totally get them really feeling their influences, but I think at this point, a couple albums in a row, it comes off a bit more like trying to be Thin Lizzy or Deep Purple, not being Europe. I know they love Dave Cobb, but I'd like to see them go with another producer who may be able to get something different out of them.
I like much of their post-reunion catalog, and know I'm never going to get another Prisoner's type album...which between it and the LLB demos is my favorite overall period for the band musically, but it's just too hard to guess. I'd like some more bombastic choruses, with some good hooks. The whole album doesn't have to be that way, but toss a bone or two out there.
Agreed about the melotron...it's almost become the 80's synthesizers...used to much. I know it gives Mic a lot of sounds to utilize, and keeps some of the old synth sounds out of the songs, but then I'd rather have more Hammond or piano instead.

I think Europe should keep the way they are working but with a more Secret society style, I mean more melodic.
Personally I would like to hear a more polished work from John Norum, I'm sick of the improvisation thing.
