Listening to the album right now. First thing that I notice is the much better production compared to previous live releases like Sweden Rock and Wacken. Much more punch and a clear, open sound. The other thing that luckily stayed as it was on the night; the whole vibe and atmosphere in the Roundhouse. No annoying extra and loud public mixed in for example. Just as it was; a very enthousiastic crowd. Also during the War of Kings part. All in all a very positive first impression!

Mine arrived today. Watched the DVD. Amazing, The band are all on top form. Brought all the memories flooding back of a great night. Where did you get the DVD from? Because I recieved an email from where I ordered today saying they still haven't received it, and don't know when they will have it! And it doesnt seem like anybody else is getting it either. Seriously, why can't Europe's management or somebody say something about it?? They just pretend that it is released, but no one is getting it!!!

My local recordstore here in the Netherlands also didn't received it yet and they had no idea when they will have it. They looked it up and the releasedate was "unknown". Some dutch online shops have August 4 as a releasedate, so i'm guessing next week?

Indeed nothing on Bol.com yet. Guess we have to be bit more patient in Holland...

You can hear the whole thing if you have a Spotify subscription or some other streaming service. open.spotify.com/embed/album/6rHy3jkHJyTqsU3dLQxyhiI just listened to the whole double live album. Sound is good, but not great. I miss the agressiveness in Norum's guitars, and the big punchy live sound. Sounds a little bit more flat and boring here, but still good I like the drum sound but the gats are a bit odd. In some places on some songs it's almost as the gain was sucked out of the guitar like an accidental knock to the volume knob or something. I just downloaded the live album. Couldn´t wait any longer, since the releasedate here is still unknown. I´ll buy it also ofcourse In my opinion, Europe has never been able to capture their (awesome) live sound on a live album/DVD in a proper way. Usually good but not great, as Michael Jessen said. But this one is better than I expected! I agree on the drums, they sound good! I think the Wacken dvd is a real low point. Sounds nothing like Ian. But yeah this one is quite good. I also agree on the guitar sound, Norum is a bit too low in the mix. It makes it sound a little bit muddy here and there. But first impression is alright. Cant wait to see the bluray!

Haven't heard this one yet (except The Final Countdown) but I agree. They don't have the best sounding live DVD's I think one problem is they have too much room sound. I understand they want the live feel. But I think it's too much and the seperation between the instruments is not so good. They should look at Joe Bonamassa's DVD's. Awesome sound and you can still hear the room and audience, but not too much.
It's not like they don't record it well, or have good enough people to mix it. So I don't understand.
Kevin Shirley (who mixes and produces everything from Bonamassa) even mixed Wacken. But I don't think that was too bad, but it could be better. It was better than the Sweden Rock DVD I think.
The best live recording I have heard from Europe is the one from iTunes festival. And that was mixed by Lindell and released on iTunes 3 days later or something.

I ordered mine from Amazon UK and it arrived on Saturday. I am very impressed with the sound on this dvd/CD after the flat sounding live releases mentioned by others.
One thing that slightly bugged me though is that they patched/added in vocals on Love Chaser right after the solo. When I was at the show in London, Joey missed the immediate lyrics as he was on the wrong side of the stage yet on the cd and dvd it's perfect. I know it's nothing major but it just feels they tampered with the recording.
Apart from that I am loving the final countdown album performance on this! Loving Mic's synth sounds!

Apart from that I am loving the final countdown album performance on this! Loving Mic's synth sounds! You and me both, hearing proper old school synth sounds from TFC album, like the intro to Time Has Come and Love Chaser will always bring a smile to my face. I wonder if they will show much love towards OOTW when its 30th comes around. I think its an awesome album personally with some really strong melodic songs which I like. Oh another thing that sort of bugged me for TFC 30th is that Mic went to some effort to recreate some of the synth sounds yet for Carrie (like he has since they re-formed) has used just a standard piano, not a layered FM type piano sound like on the album which I think adds much more depth and character. That just me anyway. But otherwise just glad we have this music from them!

I just checked out the DVD/2CD pack on CDON.no and Ginza.se, and both of them have August 4 as the release date.
