What someone may not know or even imagine, is that some funny things happen when one goes to these Summer Festival... The parking of the car is always quite a challenge, in fact usually you follow the signs and they lead you by car sort of 3 to 5 km away from the area, then you can't believe you have to walk all that way back...but hey, wait! ... there are shortcuts to pass through open fields or even dense woods sometimes!  In my last occurrence, the tricky point has been to climb up a little hill to reach the camping area, and on the way back of course you had to descend the same slope... Hahaha!  I didn't have suitable shoes, I was wearing sandals, not high-heel ones, but still!  On my way to the venue I told to myself: "No, I am not gonna hurry, it will take the due time, I am gonna take my time, 'cause I don't want to get there all sweated and puffing". I quite achieved my target... And again when going away after the concert, I took my time, but in the middle of that slope I have had to launch down my heavy bag to wait for me and then I sort of went down on 4 legs, hands and feet slipping inside the sand on the ground, and trying to grasp the only bushes that appeared here and there! Well, EUROPE definitively will never know or imagine about these physical challenges that we go through for them , hahaha!!! Anyway the important thing is that it is always so worthwhile! Like it was filming this Superstitious at Tons of Rock!!! Check it out!!!  And gotta love Firebox  Here's my video of it from Tons of Rock! EUROPE played the "heavy" set on that night, including Scream Of Anger, Nothin' To Ya and The Beast! Maybe even because right before them Amon Amarth claimed the Vikings' scepter, but EUROPE wins on the whole mix and not only a pushing hard of sounds!!!  Said hi to the band after the gig, the first time that I see them all 5 arriving together and entering the elevator together!!!  Ian shouted loud "hello!" and the last look (at Eden...LOL!) has been exchanged with Joey right before the door closing! They were dog tired but very happy, I tell you, they gave it ALL to that audience!  |
