If EUROPE was a doing a compilation album, which songs should be on it, in your opinion ?
An album is generally made of 12 songs. So, let's choose only 12 songs,
Edited : a compilation album often contains 20 songs, so let's choose 20 songs , please !
For this compilation, you can choose :
-the songs you like the most, of course.
-But you can choose, as well, the ones that are, from your point of view, the most emblematics of EUROPE music.
Another thing :
-This compilation songs can be ranked in a chronological order : a logical choice.
-Or else you can rank it in the most perfect way for you (maybe, for example, you think after "Heart of stone", "New love in town" just sounds awesome, and then "Memories", etc...) : an artistical choice, then...

So I'm starting it.  For my sake, I' ve chosen a very special approach. Because IMO, a EUROPE compilation shouldn't be only a catalog of their previous songs. It should show how they are NOWADAYS, and the way they finally come to their present artistic expression. 1) California 405 2) Ready or not 3) Settle for love 4) Doghouse 5) Hole in my pocket 6) Heart of stone 7) Memories 8) Superstitious 9) Gonna get ready 10) Seventh sign 11) Love is not the enemy 12) TFC All right, I realize this is very random, in fact... Maybe I'll change my mind soon !   |

Wow that's very complicated. Since there are already many compilations out there that list the "most significant" moments in Europe's discography my playlist has to be composed only by songs that I like to listen and that I would not skip. It may seem alternative, but this is in fact a distillate of what I like today: 1. Prelude + Last look at Eden 2. Heart of stone 3. California 405 4. Tower's callin' 5. Always the pretenders 6. 'Til my heart beats down your door 7. Settle for love 8. Aphasia 9. No stone unturned 10. Here comes the night 11. Days of Rock 'n' Roll 12. Memories (Live at Nalen, 2008) It includes songs from all the albums (except BoB), an instrumental, a ballad, a live version, an outtake...yeah, pretty good  |

A compilation album of the band EUROPE has neither "THE FINAL COUNTDOWN" or "CARRIE" and "ROCK THE NIGHT"?

Hey wait a moment.. ! Watching how previous EUROPE compilations look like, I just noticed that a decent compilation may have 20 songs !
So, let's choose 20 songs ! That'll be easier.  Concerning this thread, yes of course there's already many EUROPE compilations, but as far as I know, none of them is including post-reunion songs. The purpose of this thread is then to consider a compilation with ALL Europe songs, and not only 80s-90s era songs. Now about the way we make our choice, ent, everybody is free in his/her approach : -A chronological approach is what is usually done. -But as we are EUROPE fans, supposed to know almost perfectly the songs, we can choose another ranking. |

ent , if I had to choose "JUST ONE EUROPE'S SONG" from the first stage, between their first 5 albums, a single song !!! (Ok would be very unfair and really hard) but probably I'd say: SEVEN DOORS HOTEL
And if I had to choose "JUST ONE EUROPE'S SONG" from the last 5 albums of the band in this second stage would be a bitter battle between PRAISE YOU and START FROM THE DARK but probably win SFTD ... 
So ... !!!! To that point I like this song !!!  |
