metalitalia.com/articolo/kee-marcello-nuovo-album-per-lex-chitarrista-degli-europe/KEE MARCELLO, former guitarist of EUROPE, will soon release a new album, probably in autumn 2016. Marcello has just signed a deal with Frontiers Music Srl. According to a statement from Marcello, the album will have strong references to the sound that has characterized his style in the past. "It's time to finish my 'unfinished symphony'. This is the album that EUROPE were never able to record after 'Prisoners In Paradise'. As a tribute to the loyal fans I also recorded two old songs from 'Le Baron Boys'. With one foot in the past and the other in the present."

The FRONTIERS MUSIC Facebook Page says: BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the signing of KEE MARCELLO for the release of a new album in the fall of 2016! Kee Marcello is best known for his time as the guitar player in Europe from 1986 to 1992 on such milestone albums as “Out of this World” and “Prisoners in Paradise”. With this new album, Kee intends to go back to the sound that helped him make his mark. Expect some amazing arena rock songs, which he he started working on at the end of 2015.
Kee says: “I’m really excited about this album. I’m making a new departure from the ”Le Baron Boys” era, bringing it into the future. I’ve always felt that there was something magic about the material that Sony mysteriously refused to release on PIP, and now the time has come to put things right. It’s time to complete my ”unfinished symphony”. This is the album that Europe never managed to record after Prisoners In Paradise. The songs will have a very familiar ring for everyone who loves that era And as a homage to all the faithful fans I’ve recorded two previously unreleased Le Baron Boys tracks on the album. With one foot in the past and one in the present I think this album will raise a lot of eyebrows - not to mention HORNS!”. Kee is making plans for a full European tour in support of the new release. Stay tuned for more details!Ok, my opinion is: Really kee??? He needs to say this ? He is doing the Europe's album after PIP? he really believes that ??

And once again he's milking the Europe name for all its worth... But the album could be worth a listen... IF Kee sticks to only playing the guitar and gets a new lead singer, of course.

Is sad that Kee needs continually reaffirm his past in Europe, something we all know and cherish. That's already part his life no one is going to change, no need to regulary appeal to it. I think he is a musician with enough talent to make his own way. The statement that "This is the album that Europe never managed to record after Prisoners In Paradise ..." is very unfortunate. At least he would have a proportionate part (from 5) in the next album to PIP would not be 100% of him, really sure that his next album deserves this expectation? all the best for Kee but I think that he is badly advised.

I'm happy if Kee releases new material as I'm happy if he records some tunes from the LBB period. I think it is fair to let the man play his chances in total freedom. With his talent he can potentially make a great job. It's natural that he turnes back to his time in Europe because it has been the most successful part of his carrier, or at least the period when he had the higher visibility. Besides that, whatever was the chemestry in the band at that time, I think that the cooperation in the songwriting between Joey and Kee has given wonderful fruits, mostly underestimated. However I will always be ready to give him a fair chance as a musician. That said I think that he has often failed in the communication in the past. Throwing mud on his former band partners may have appeared a wise move to him or to those who managed him, to gain attention and to attract the Europe fans that weren't happy with the modern sound that the band had chosen after the reunion. But it's been a boomerang because the band has firmly re-established itself, gaining more fans with every album and tour, and Kee has become, from the point of view of the Europe fans, a sort of enemy, interested in gaining popularity even if that meant to discredit the band. And, having done that, he appears inconsistent when he "milks" the name of the band for his interest. My wish would be that Kee and the band could put aside once and forever their controversies and keep doing what they all do best: playing music. I wish that they could celebrate the upcoming anniversaries of the two great albums they made together, if not in friendship, at least in harmony. Finally I wish good luck to Kee: hope that this new album will rock.

I saw over on melodicrock.com that Kee has signed a record deal with Frontiers Records for an album to be released later this year.

I always find it a bit interesting that whenever Kee says something, he seems to take what many would consider as a swipe at the band. Granted, the quote could be taken out of context, nor does the band want to write heyday era albums, but the comments always seem to pop up.

Although that particular statement is probably very innocent, in principle (even if it could have been made less ambiguous), whenever Kee speaks about Europe, by now, people expect that he is sniping at them because, in the recent past he has accostumed us in that way. Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. Stein: is it possible to join this discussion to the original thread?

Oops...sorry guys, didn't see this or I wouldn't have made the new thread!
So... which LBB tracks do you think he's "reworking?" Make up with Joey long enough to ask him to do the vocals on the LBB tracks so we don't have to listen to Kee sing. Great guitar player, not so much the singer.

And once again he's milking the Europe name for all its worth... My thoughts exactly... I always have mixed feelings regarding Kee whenever he does or says something stupid. I feel kinda sad about the whole situation, since he was such a big part of my childhood-image I had of the band. Kee joined right after I started listening to them. And from that moment until they reunited in 2003....it was KEE. Not a bad thing about him. Eva Tomorrow, you say he "is a musician with enough talent to make his own way", but by now I think we can conclude that he is not. Sure, the talent is there ofcourse, but unfortunately...nobody cares. It's fair to say his career after Europe failed. Hard. And he knows it... That's why he is so bitter. He cant stand the fact that Europe did not ask him back. And most of all, that they are a successful band again now, while he is sitting at home with no money. He's so desperate....he will do anything to make money of the name "Europe". I might sound harsh, but I think most of you will agree with me right? Anyway, i'll take a listen to this album...like I always do. But starting off like this, the interview, it makes me not want to listen to this guy anymore. It's getting really painful to hear him talk. The album that Europe never managed to record after Prisoners In Paradise? C'mon man. Why would you even say that
