Thanks for the video, michaeljessen.  Yes, Days was playback. I think TFC might have been playback as well, and that they used a pre-recorded track. They've done that once before, at a Polish TV show in 2010, where they mimed to a live recording of TFC at Sweden Rock Festival from 2009. |

Nice video , but why playback ?? I don't understand that coming from EUROPE , look at 3:29 , there is a second downstroke pick in the audio but John is not doing it , instead he take his whammy bar and do the thing! , so I'm pretty sure the whole performance is Playback.

I've watched it last night. Let's be honest : usually, I never never never watch this show, because the presenter is so awfully vulgar.! But it was EUROPE !!! I couldn't miss them, especially as it was on the main French channel !  And this show, although I never watch it, is probably the most seen on saturday night. So, EXCELLENT operation for our favorite band !  Millions of people have seen them, no doubt. Previously (so seldom) EUROPE appeared on some French TVs, but very "confidential" ones. Now, it was different. And there were the very first in the show. Now, concerning the playback, I think the type of this show forced it. Because the show has its own orchestra, and they probably didn't have time to change all the cables and connections... Only the voice for TFC wasn't a playback, I think. Because JTempest phrasing was very special and clear IMO. All right, we all know that EUROPE is exceptional live on stage. On TV, it's always a bit more "artifical". However, I think it was huge that they were there, especially as the "awful presenter" (I don't find him as awful as formerly, now...  ) said many many kind things about them. That they are a legend, exceptional, etc. And he talked about WOK. |

Nice video , but why playback ?? I guess it's because there were so many artists performing on that TV show that evening, and it would take too much time to fix the live sound for every artist, so they just decided to make them do playback. |

Yes,yesterday,I watched them in TV, they were in good shape. It was a real pleasure to see them on French TV. If my memories are good the last time I saw them played on French TV, it was on the "Jacques Martin show" in the nineties'. I have a video from this show but I don't remember where is it  And yes Guesswho?, I usually don't watch this show but for Europe I can do it...  |
