A great setlist. We probably won't ever see it in the States, so maybe they will do a live release or DVD for this tour. I wonder if they will rotate some tracks in/out each night to cover a wider number of songs overall? Either way, I really like this set.

Wish they'd put something from Prisoners in the setlist, but at least there's something different in this set. I might be the only one, but I don't think WTE is best opening track.. That mid-tempo plodding doesn't exactly get you excited like when they used Ready or Not or Seventh Sign back in the day, or some of the others during pre-WTE tours.
But, then again, I'll admit that I don't have the love for WTE that the band and a lot fans seem to have. It and most of the album haven't had the staying power with me that many of the newer albums have.

I'm with you Stein... I appreciate their experimentation a bit, but I'd love anything that's more inline with WOT or TFC.

Hate to say it, but this album hasn't aged as well as some of their newer output for me. Maybe it was a little too progressive?!? I had a harder time connecting with many of the tracks, and probably one of the least played albums for me in their discography.

"We know it’s been a while …WTE was out in 2017 but we are now writing and coming up with some pretty interesting stuff. This time we’re probably more connected to our past but of course as always aiming to be unique and adventurous"
This is the second time Joey (or the band) have eluded to being more connect to their past with regards to the direction of their upcoming output. It will interesting to see what comes of this, as I know many of us enjoy much of their newer stuff, but I also know many of us would love to get a more retro-style album from them. I wonder if seeing the likes of Whitesnake and the Scorpions going back to their more recognizable sound (and embracing it) has them in more of a nostalgic frame of mind?

I know from an interview with Mic from the Prisoners era that there were plans to release a live album as a follow up to Prisoners. He mentioned that the show in Hallenstadion, Zürich Switserland was recorded for that purpose. So that definately must be lying and gathering some dust somewhere on a shelve... While the PIP era is the end of the commercially successful period of hard rock, I've often thought that while TFC gets a lot of attention for obvious reasons, they have really seemed to ignore what most would consider the pinnacle of their career. Again, not sure if there are any issues because the band makeup was different during OOTW and PIP, or if it's merely just wanting to focus on the present more than the past...who knows.

It would be very cool to have some high quality live stuff from the OOTW and PIP period. I'm sure they have it in the vaults and could release it if they wanted to in some way. I'm guessing they aren't interested, or there's some potential issue with how to compensate Kee since it's his era in the band.

That right there is a very nice set list, with the exception of nothing from Prisoners... Figured they might toss in Girl from Lebanon since that's the only consistent PIP track they keep around the set.

Love the addition of Dance the Night Away. I wonder if they were given a few more minutes for an extra song, since it was a hometown show for the guys?
