But what the setlist doesn't show is how great and enthusiastic the crowd was. People were rocking along right from the start!
Plus, Joey included a piece of the song "Bochum" by famous German singer Herbert Grönemeyer into Superstitious, which, of course, went down well with the crowd. Later on, during Rock the Night people just sang along from their own without needing Joey's prompts. So he just stood there and listened to everyone singing, then he started humming the "oh-oh-oh"-phrase of Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes before the band kicked into Rock You Like A Hurricane and Another One Bites the Dust. Joey then continued with James Brown's Sexmachine, which got him some weird looks from his bandmates, before he started some kind of impromtu rap on the German word "Hammergeil" (i.e. fucking awesome). I have never seen him getting so carried away!
Oh, mentioning Carrie: People sang incredibly well and also did so during other songs, such as Bag of Bones.
I am dwelling on the topic of people singing along so loudly, because usually German crowds never sang that enthusiastically at Europe shows. I always get jealous when I see videos from South America or Italy, because we Germans are always a bit tied up, but yesterday was absolutely fabulous!

You're welcome everybody! Here's a snippet of Dreamer during soundcheck. It was soooo beautiful ... And Stein: Yes, I think it was the same piece John played in Solothurn. There was a guy standing next to me, screaming "John, you're God" all the time which was slightly annoying ... though I understand his excitement ... *lol*

Eva Tomorrow: Mannheim is not that small. On the other side of the river is Ludwigshafen and you have the entire Rhine-Main-Region with cities such as Mainz, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt at your door all within 45 minutes car ride. So it's not a bad choice. The only problem is: If they don't sell tickets for the Mannheim show at your local boxoffice how were you supposed to know about the show?

Back at my hotel room after the Mannheim show. They changes the setlist a bit compared to the show in Solothurn. They left out Cherokee and played Dreamer instead of Open Your Heart during the acoustic part. Joey seems to have a new favorite word in German: ausflippen, which means to freak out. I was at the front row, so I couldn't see what happened behind me, but I had the feeling the crowd woke up half way through the show with the beginning of the acoustic part. People weee very enthusiastic about Drink and a Smile and Joey said something like "thanks for the feedback", so I would translate it to a very quiet audience until then. It was only half sold (500 people), which I think is very disappointing after the promotion gigs theydid in Mainz and Kronberg, which is close to Mannheim. But I heard from a lot of people that they had trouble getting tickets to the show, which probably explains things. I know from my own experience that I couldn't buy a ticket at my local boxoffice in Frankfurt, which is just a stone's throw away. They only sold tickets to the shows in Berlin, Bochum and Strassbourg. Very strange ... Otherwise the band seemed to be enjoying themselves, Joey bumping into the Johns every now and then and having trouble with the line "I'm out late after curfew" in BOB, which caused some laughter ... To me the highlights of the evening were the acoustic part and BOB, which I really like. The only thing that seemed a little awkward to me was Joey's percussion efforts ... I would have skipped that, but that as everything else is just my persobal opinion. Good night everyone!

I think it depends on where you're from. If the channel got the rights to broadcast the material to a German audience only any other user won't be able to watch it.
