Ready or not!
It's definitely not just about the guitar. Joey's voice is sexy and many-faceted, the yeah's and unh's are at their peak in this song. The keyboard melts brilliantly into the mix, and the positive vibes of the song is just brilliant! And listen to that solo!! And the hormones in the chorus! (meant to write harmonies, my phone corrected it).
*Battle-ready*

If I remember correctly, one of these bands is Eclipse (see our former discussion about cover versions etc. forum.wingsoftomorrow.com/post/13690/thread/1145)By the way, I went to check them out last weekend in an event called Rockin' Scandinavia (Brother Firetribe, One Desire and Eclipse performing). They were great! Here are couple of videos I took: Definitely a perfect line-up. Wish I could have seen them. Love all three bands, and have done so for at least 10 years. except One Desire, of course. But their (first?) album from last year is fantastic My addition to "Bands who has been influenced by Europe" is this band, and this song. You don't need to understand to understand german to understand what he says about the song. And if you don't understand it when he says it, listen to the song!

I'm with Kochie here. 5. "Coast to Coast" 6. "Ready or Not" 7. "Sign of the Times" However often they play Sign of the times live, I will never actually really tire of it. I wish they wouldn't play it live. But everytime they do, I'm 100% in! It's not like with Carrie... Sign of the times was the first Europe song I listened to on an actual original Europe album, as opposed to a compilation. Or, maybe it wasn't the first song, but it was the first love of that album. It was on repeat for a couple of weeks at least! When I celebrated my 22nd birthday in a pub in London (which wasn't actually about celebrating my birthday, but having a fan meetup with fans from Sweden, Norway, England, Spain, France +++ ...) Anyway, Europe music was playing in the pub we had rented all evening. But Ready or not semmed to never come . But when it did.... I still remember the euphoria almost blowing the roof off. Everyone had been waiting for it! Hearing the first notes to that song live.. or even seeing Joey coming out with his guitar signalling that the song might come... it gets that same euphoria running! I have 2 fond memories of Coast to coast. First, it was when I was studying music theory, and I had a liiiittle crush on this guitarist in my class. He happened to be on the same train as me one day, when I shared the name of my obsession. Amd what he replied with was NOT the intro to TFC. He said in Norwegian "Kyst til kyst, liksom?" ... which meant I had to autotranslate what he said to me in our native language into two things 1."He's saying Coast to coast!" and 2. "He knows Europe!" I'm pretty sure my mouth fell open. And as a bonus he followed up with the fact that "The best solo ever created is the one on Heart of stone!" ... The other fondest memory of Coast to Coast was when I visited my friends in North America last year. We went to a really weird karaoke place, and they told me they had lots of Europe. They didn't. They had Carrie. But we used a cellphone and a couple of microphones singing Coast to coast together, fitting 3 altos pretty well The lyrics matched the moment. One Canadian girl, one Norwegian girl, and one American girl, meeting up. Coast to coast, hand in hand.
