Toneirene, thank you for report : it makes me remember so many things that I have nearly forgotten already ! Concerning the venue, as you wrote, it was a charming place. It was a really cozy town center, situated by a lake or a fjord. Wrightegaarden is a concert/restaurant-establishment, it was a nice, old sort of classy two-storey house with a terrace with a view to the venue, which was in a sort of open yard. It was enclosed so you couldn't enter without tickets, but it was still very open to the skies. To be continued. The band were waiting in the main building before the show. Don't know of you remeber it , Toneirene. While we were already in front of the stage, we saw them : they were watching us from an open window of the 2nd floor. I made a little "hello" with my hand to Leven, but he didn't answer : he just hide himself like a little boy, and then watched again... That was funny. That's precisely where I realized something AWFUL : as the day had been partly rainy, I'd clothed myself with a very appropriate and convenient rain coat : red and large, and... ugly ! Because I thought : "oh well, after all, nobody will see me ..." (because all the europe shows I attended previously were in the dark and crowdy, you see !) But at this moment, I realized that the band was seeing us perfectly, as it was still the daylight, and we were still just a few fans ! Yes, they were seeing us perfectly, and i was just looking like a bibendum with my sooo flattering coat !!! (at a moment, Toneirene even turned towards me and told kindly: "Oh, your clothes are very interesting, very convenient ! !!!!!!!) All the other fans, like Toneirene, were so pretty girls, with nice clothes, jewels, tattoos, hair, and so on... So, you know what , Then I stopped saying hello to Leven !!!

I'm in my office, everyone is very serious and I'm reading your report and I'm laughing a lot, everyone looks at me in odd ways ... hahahaha is great ... ! Red is a nice color, maybe John Leven turned to tell the guys: eh! look at that fan with that red raincoat, it's so cool ... !

to Toneirene and other fans who always share their experiences:
I want to thank you with all my heart.
I did not have any chanche to attend a Europe concert or meet one of the guys: your reports and so passionate writings are a bless to me. I'm not used to write on the forum - and my English is not so good, as you can verify - but I read every single word posted on it. And from my house I can "travel" with you. ...You can't imagine how great is for me reading all you write. I envy you a bit for your experiences, to be honest:P , I'm still hoping one day I can have the same chance. But I want you all to know I thank you so much for sharing. Keep on writing:)

Well, not so naughty after all, because I see you're trying to comfort me with your kind words. However, unfortunately, I have the proof that Leven did't tell at all this kind of thing to the other guys: because after the show, I was outside and suddenly saw him in front of the main door : he was leading Norum to the car that brought the band to their hotel (Norum left the venue first, probably because his son was with him I think, as I saw a little boy...). There was nobody at this place, except a beautiful blond woman and me... So, guess what happened to guess who ? The blond girl could shoot a photo with Leven in her arms, and when I did a shy walk towards our wonderful bass player, he just made a kind of smile, watched me right in the eyes... and then run quickly inside the venue without waiting !!!! Yes, that's what happened to me.

I'll write more back at my computer, I'm just lying here on my painful back, so answering on my cellphone. Guesswhoo, I really liked your raincoat, and you are very beautiful, give yourself some credit! I might have had nice clothes, but I'm pretty sure all the band see from stage is the face of a witless maniac! That was rude of JL, but sometimes he too must take some decisions about whether to stay and chat or leave for the hotel. Tomorrow: are you Valeria??

Loved your reports and funny tales girls! The Leven thing and the red raincoat was funny indeed Guesswho, but I am sure you're making it worst than it was for the band!!!...and Leven, LOL! I am short as I am writing from Germany and I am able to catch the wifi connection only here and there, for very short periods of time! So better for me to hit the "post" button, before I lose the line again!

ok, the reason for my comment about the raincoat is this: Norway is an easy prey for bad weather, and norwegians in some parts of the country are prone to wear rainhats and raincoats. umbrellas are more for citypeople and citywalks, and not very fit for norwegian weather... your raincoat was actually NICE and fashionable. That's why I commented on it... if it had rained that evening, I would have looked like a foool. I was filmed during a gig in Lakselv 4 years ago, wearing a red jacket that was way too big for me, I bet Stein-Vidar still has the link to it... and that was the reason people recognized me on the screen years after

Just told this story to write something funny here. So don't worry. I took your comment easy. The true thing, yet, is that there was a lot of really pretty girls among the first rows fans. Lovely and enthusiastic. Well, I wonder how Europe members can resist to all these beauties full of love for them !!! The other thing I must correct is the part concerning Leven : Yes he made a photo with the other fan, the beautiful blonde, after the show ; but in fact, he seemed rather annoyed by it, because it was obvious that he was in a hurry. So, i think that she jumped on him actually, and he had no other choice than accepting the picture. At the contrary, he watched me with a kind air, a look that seemed to say : "Sorry, I can't, and I hope that you understand". That's what happened for true. I wouldn't like that someone could think he's a rude man, because he's not...

In conclusion, I must say that I enjoyed this show very much. I had little disappointments, but not because of the band. In fact, the negative aspects were only because of me. And the worst of these negative parts was that I couldn't meet the band, while it could have happened. Because in fact I stayed 2 nights at Lagesund. And the first night, I was at the same hotel like them at badepark resort, but the 2nd night (concert night), I decided to change and go to Langesund Bad, which was closer to the venue. I knew Europe would be at Badepark, but as it was 3 kms from the venue, and I'm a lazy persons and didn't want to wait for the bus for hours, then I changed. So, it's only my fault if I didn't see them... But now, I have regrets about it... Well, it's too late to complain now. I've seen the musicians of Slade (the band who played the night before Europe) at Badepark. The whole day long !!! And they did plenty of smiles to me. But the problem is that I'm not interested by Slade. It's Europe i like. And i didn't see Europe, except JTempest in his car, and Leven in a hurry... Too silly, don't you think so ?
