Back at my hotel room after the Mannheim show. They changes the setlist a bit compared to the show in Solothurn. They left out Cherokee and played Dreamer instead of Open Your Heart during the acoustic part. Joey seems to have a new favorite word in German: ausflippen, which means to freak out. I was at the front row, so I couldn't see what happened behind me, but I had the feeling the crowd woke up half way through the show with the beginning of the acoustic part. People weee very enthusiastic about Drink and a Smile and Joey said something like "thanks for the feedback", so I would translate it to a very quiet audience until then. It was only half sold (500 people), which I think is very disappointing after the promotion gigs theydid in Mainz and Kronberg, which is close to Mannheim. But I heard from a lot of people that they had trouble getting tickets to the show, which probably explains things. I know from my own experience that I couldn't buy a ticket at my local boxoffice in Frankfurt, which is just a stone's throw away. They only sold tickets to the shows in Berlin, Bochum and Strassbourg. Very strange ... Otherwise the band seemed to be enjoying themselves, Joey bumping into the Johns every now and then and having trouble with the line "I'm out late after curfew" in BOB, which caused some laughter ... To me the highlights of the evening were the acoustic part and BOB, which I really like. The only thing that seemed a little awkward to me was Joey's percussion efforts ... I would have skipped that, but that as everything else is just my persobal opinion. Good night everyone! Thank you so much for this report of yours, steph! To hear first-hand information is really very valuable! And all those details that usually you cannot find anywhere else... I am happy for you that you have enjoyed the show!

You're welcome everybody! Here's a snippet of Dreamer during soundcheck. It was soooo beautiful ... And Stein: Yes, I think it was the same piece John played in Solothurn. There was a guy standing next to me, screaming "John, you're God" all the time which was slightly annoying ... though I understand his excitement ... *lol*
