Great show... But I was a little concerned, Joey has told that "Bring it on home" is the very last Europe song and that it will be played at the end of the last show. When the show was over in gbg the song "Bring it on home" was played thru the speakers.
I really hope that this doesn't mean something...

Joey has said that they're going to do festivals in 2013 and make the 10th album in 2014, so I'm sure they'll be around for at least a couple more years.

Yes I know that too, but I was just a little concerned...
I also know that Ian has talked about a new collection in the future too, and that it might include some out-takes and there might even be a remake/remix of some stuff. So I guess they will be around for at least 5 years;)
And as I said before, it would be super if they did something special next year to celebrate that it's 30 years since their debut album came out.

There have been concerns raised on this forum about joeys voice not always being on top form, hardly suprising considering the number of gigs they've done over the last 5 years! Maybe it would be good for them to have sort of a year off in 2013, maybe just do a few festivals, before they hit the studio in mid 2014 feeling refreshed?

Hi paulw, IMO, if they stopped now, even for just one year, they would throw away what they have built so far with so much dedication and efforts as well. Joey's voice is good enough to win over the majority of others! I think they know they cannot reach that explosive success they had in the 80's anymore, because only very young bands can aim at that. But then these young bands should prove to resist for more than one or two records. Europe have built up and grown up in a steady and consistent way. I don't personally think so many bands succeeded in doing the same...but if you stay out for a while, then you don't know if you can get in again! And who better than Europe themselves know this lesson?

I think it wouldn't be good disappear for a whole year, but this year the band can rest for long periods and alternate it with some dates in live ... John Norum is going to publish his new album, is good news and certainly Joey will continue caring for his voice as he has done so far.
