I probably WILL go. But that's just because Europe + Norway equals me being there. Plus I've seen them twice IN NORWAY on the 12th of July twice before. (Lakselv in 2008, Langesund in 2012), why not in 2013 as well?

This is very interesting. The landscapes by themselves should be worthwhile such a trip , let alone the music ...but...OMG! Stein and toneirene please do help me in understanding better...!!! You can reach Tysnes from Bergen (closest airport, right?) quite easily ( ) by car, provided you take this Våge-Hlhjem ferry... OK, I can do it! Then you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, but let's suppose one gets at the concert and enjoys it a lot as usual. Fine. Good. Now, please give me a place where to sleep which is reachable by car without taking the ferry again...in fact I think this service stops between 12.00am and 6.00am ... No hotels, no motels, no nothing... in the middle of nowhere! So, am I supposed to sing the blues, to sleep in my (rented) car, or are Europe's band members so kind to host me and sleep with them on the tourbus ??!!?? Is this made only for camping people, spending the 4 days over there...right? But then how many people would they gather in such a place??!!?? Very private and very Norwegian-only, sigh! And maybe it's just me who I am not enough the rocking-type But I'd like this kind of challenges, though...and the landscapes are sooo beautiful!! How to resist? well...starting all over again.

I just googled Hotels Tysnes, and got a few hits. Check some of them out? I have no idea what to do either It's many months away

If you find out anything different when you make your search, please let me know!

The right one should be the one close to Bergen, if I have understood correctly. But it's tricky though, because when you search for hotel in Tysnes, normally the wrong Tysnes comes out first...

My best suggestion so far: www.booking.com/hotel/no/strandebarm-fjordhotel.en-gb.html?label=postbooking_confpage;sid=ad91be3dc7b85cfcc62e1e4eb97fafcc;dcid=1;logout=1It looks like it's one hour by car from the venue...the closest one that I have found reachable by car during the night.

Thank you atle and sorry if I ask you one more question... because the point is how to reach Osøyro once the concert is finished, during the night? Tysnes is on the other side and ferries start only after 6am ... For sure it depends also what time the concert ends, if it's gonna be already 2am for instance, then it would not be such a big issue to wait at the dock...

Thats okay Soon they will have the festivalprogram finished, but as for now it seems that Europe will go on stage at 24hours. The first ferry will go 6.50, but I will ask them if there will be extra ferries those days of festival. I'll come back to you
