Heard from a friend that the crowd wernt interested. Really tight set though. The thing is, the casual british fan of metal dont give a shit about "old 80's bands". Those of us who follow Europe know there is far more to them than that song. Trouble is no-one give a shit at download.

According to Peter Noble's Facebook page, they played for 35 minutes. They played these songs: Riches To Rags Firebox Superstitious Scream of Anger Rock The Night Prelude (tape) Last Look At Eden The Final Countdown
I've asked Peter if they played any other songs.
EDIT: They also played "Superstitious".
EDIT 2: I've corrected the setlist order according to a picture which was posted on Europe The Crew's Facebook page,

Did all the bands at that stage play such short sets? No, HIM 65 minutes Then, it was surely a kind of frustration for Europe. Maybe that's why they did'nt post anything on their FB Official concerning this concert? Usually, after an important event (and playing at Download was important for them, I think...), they post something quickly after the show. This time, they posted something about new shirts, but not a word about Download.

Sorry to be late here...these festivals are really hard to withstand from the "physical" point of view, I am still very tired from my trip and back in the office all the same... ALMOST EVERY BAND PLAYED FOR 40 MINUTES...apart from the headliners at the end of the days and a few others. So this must not be seen as a negative situation for Europe!!! I think that their spot in the afternoon, on the Zippo Encore Stage (2nd stage for importance) has been rather good instead and much better than UFO who played at 11 in the morning on main stage and also Black Stars Riders (ex-Thin Lizzy) who played at 1pm on main stage... Of course there have been also "rubbish" bands getting even more importance and I really can't understand the reason why!!! One example above all is "Gogol Bordello" on 2nd stage as the act before the final one on Friday (Black Stone Cherry)... this band was only raising the madness of people (already drunk) with obscene and absolutely non-sense gestures and music... I have posted a video on FB yesterday and I will post my photos soon...I have some more videos (all shaking because I filmed with a Blackberry...) which I will pack all together and post on youtube as soon as my PC at home gets repaired www.facebook.com/michaela.italia?ref=tn_tnmn#!/photo.php?v=333116040152481 Joey and the other band's members were absolutely on the moon to be there, very happy indeed!!! I have been so glad for them and also my daughter said that it would have been worthwhile even for just a minute of their show!!! When TFC started, the earth was all shaking and people were all singing it extraordinarily loud!!! Of course it was the most well-known song, but the enthusiasm was there in the crowd throughout the whole gig!!! They absolutely ROCKED!!! (above and beyond the sh*t reviews...) PS: EUROPE posted a video of backstage on FB yesterday but then they removed it...has anybody else seen it or downloaded it?

A backstage video from Download was just posted on their Facebook page, so it's probably that one.
