He talks about his upcoming projects and his days in Easy Action and Europe. Asked why he wasn't brought back into the Europe fold, Kee responds, "That's a good question. I mean, first we talked about doing a two-guitar version of the band, but that didn't happen, I don't know why. But the thing is also, I had an idea of how I wanted to not really care about what was happening in music around 2000, whatever it was, but to do "your" thing. I wanted to do those melodic songs again, and it didn't feel like anybody was into that, definitely not Joey Tempest. So, I think that's the major reason I'm not in the current lineup." Does he still talk to his former Europe bandmates? "No, I really don't have any contact with Joey, but (drummer) Ian Haugland I meet all the time, because he works for a radio station, are you aware of this? He works for Classic Rock Radio in Stockholm, so every time I'm there I bump into him. What if Europe called him up and said John Norum was out, and they wanted Kee back? What would he do? "NO. Well, it depends. The thing is, I would not be in if I had to play all the new albums they did since the reunion - that wouldn't work for me. But, if we were to do something new, Europe with me in it, I'd think about it." Listen to the full interview below:

Sorry but why is he a joke? For sharing his thoughts on certain situations? That some of us clearly don't like or share? I think his sight on the whole situation and to openly talk about is kind of brave. What else can he do? He get's some questions thrown at him and he gives his opinion and meaning. At least he's not bad mouthing the band in this interview (I have to admit that I didn't listen to the full version though).

He always seems stuck to the past, instead of making a name for himself as a solo artist he prefers recreating the old Europe sound to the point of ripping off some of his own songs, not to mention having too big of an ego to hire a singer. If he had moved on to better things and did this exact same interview i would agree with you, but he just can't let go from his Europe days.

I see it different, sorry. I'm not saying that he's always right. But he loves the style of music of the old Europe and explains that. And talks about it because he's asked to by journalists. What's his other choice? Saying he loves the style of Europe since the reunion while he clearly doesn't? I think he's honest about this subject and says what he thinks of it. And ofcourse he will always be asked about Europe and his view on things because he is most known for being the guitarist on one of their most populair albums. So that makes sense to me to a certain degree. Oh and yes, I think he needs to hire a decent singer too. He obviously can't sing himself

I can see what you mean, maybe it's the way he said it that bothers me.

Yes that's a thing that sometimes bothers me also. He can obviously push things to a certain limit if you get my drift. But cutting all those things away I think that he's very honest and openly about the musical style and what he likes and doesn't like. In the past I was always defending Norum 'til the bitter end. For me he is and was the only guitar player for Europe. But as years passed by I came to realize that Norum and Marcello are such completely different players that any comparison whatsoever is useless. Both have their own unique style which put a stamp on the songs when they were recorded.

And to be honest; they are both not very able to play each others songs very well. When I listen back to bootlegs from the old days than I must say that Kee's interpretation of the Norum era songs are nowhere near as good compared to how Norum plays them. But that also can be said about how Norum plays the Kee era songs since the reunion. Simply because they're such different players style and technique wise. They try to put their style on these songs and give them their personal touch. But if I'm honest it doesn't do very much justice to the way they were recorded. Just my opinion though
