A mother's son, In my time, Tomorrow and Bring it all home, but live is probably not their dimension. Even if, maybe, for a very intimate acoustic set...
You're right, there are songs for a more intimate atmosphere, ... I don't think these are elected Anyway, would be fantastic again do an acoustic concert as Nalen ... 2008 is so far.
I would love it, too ! They sometimes speak about a new acoustic concert... Hope they'll do it. But not for the TFC anniversary : I really want to hear WOK songs in the "normal" rock style first ! Concerning the songs this forum's members choose in this thread, maybe we should begin some statistics about them ?? Someone is good for this kind of things ?

In a post in facebook our friend in the Forum Stefania told that she had the opportunity to ask Mic and Ian about the possibility of play at the Tour THE FINAL COUNTDOWN the lovely "On Broken Wings" ... that wonderful song! I hope the band decides to play it ... Mic and Ian said they are still thinking about the songs that will add to the TFC album ... let's see !!! This post might help ... Is always a pleasure to listen to this song !!

Friends!!! What an interesting discussion again!!! True what Eva Tomorrow said! I recently have the beautiful opportunity to get my 30th Anniversary edition of TFC signed by the entire band and while standing by Mic and Ian I took the chance to inform that many fans would love to hear "On Broken Wings" again like it was back in the 80's concerts! Mic said they still have to discuss about the complete setlist of those shows and that they might consider inlcuding that song too... Ian added that definitely they are gonna play more songs and not only the celebrated album which is around 40-45 minutes long... Hopefully the guys will discuss about it when they meet before the tour starts in November...

Sorry for some of you, friends, but remember Europe talked about "NEVER-played " songs. Songs like : Mojito girl, bag of bones, little bit of lovin, more than meets the eyes, hero, and some others have already been played live !!! To help your choice, here's the list of the songs never played live (from www.wingsoftomorrow.com/ , section 'tour" ) Never played live : "A Mother's Son" (electric version) ... "Where Men Won't Dare" I assume the list would be different if it was which songs have never been played by the original/current line-up. I wonder how many song from OOTW and PIP have never been played by John N?

There are songs that I would love to hear live, although not those that have never been played live. I would like to hear these (again), taking into account that they are playing all of TFC:
- Seven Doors Hotel - Halfway to Heaven - More Than Meets The Eye - No Stone Unturned - On Broken Wings
As the band are due to record a new album this year I am expecting some of the never-before played songs to be tracks from the new album.

I wonder how many song from OOTW and PIP have never been played by John N? From OOTW, John has played live: "Superstitious" "Let the Good Times Rock" "Open Your Heart" (but only in the WOT version) "More Than Meets the Eye" "Ready or Not" "Sign of the Times" So he has never played: "Coast to Coast" "Just the Beginning" "Never Say Die" "Lights and Shadows" "Tower's Callin'" "Tomorrow" From PIP it's easier, he's played only: "Seventh Sign" "Prisoners in Paradise" "Girl from Lebanon"

As the band are due to record a new album this year I am expecting some of the never-before played songs to be tracks from the new album. I doubt it...in that case I think that they would have emphasized that they were going to play new material. It'd be a big surprise, and a good one, if they present a new song.

I doubt it...in that case I think that they would have emphasized that they were going to play new material. It'd be a big surprise, and a good one, if they present a new song. But it already happened formerly that they played live some songs from their "next yet-unrealeased album". I remember "Doghouse", for instance... IMO, when Europe talked about the anniversary setlist, they had a global idea of what they'll do for it. But they haven't probably completely decided what it'd be at the end. So,a new song : why not ? What is sure until now, is that they'll play TFC album in its entirety. Plus songs from WOK Plus some never-played songs (and we see there're not so many songs they never-never played live, in fact...) ... So, why not a song from their next album(that will perhaps be already recorded in november...) ?? They will probably take the decision at the very last moment, if they feel they are ready for this.

On topic: Lights & Shadows! I wanna hear that one too! I think it would really fit their current sound, if you know what I mean. Norum downtuning that riff, could be interesting...[/quote] If you remember this on "Light & Shadows" - so did I (for some weird reason...) when I got a chance to meet the guys after Umeå gig... So I asked Mic about this and he stopped to think about it for a while (as I've learned he's always polite... ). Then he said it could be a good idea and he likes the song. But when asking Leven (ha..ha...), he just blurted: "why, it's f* boring song..." and started humming the beginning of the song (to prove the boringness...) He was a funny guy although I like the song... Funny things (and questions) you have in mind when you get this chance to ask anything.... must be the sudden thrill and heat of the moment!
