My Carrie on Rock The Boat... It's my only video from Rock The Boat, as it was too packed a crowd to allow filming... My friend Kelly and I decided that for the singing out of tune you definitively have to blame the drunk people around us!!! But I have to laugh also at when I tried to film John Leven and Mic Michaeli @0:49... and "Tempest" called me back on order @0:52 ! You see? It's not - actually - my fault... If only I could see through the eyes and read through the lips...March 4th, 2016 - M/S Galaxy Silja Line (Photo Credits: Mei Pan) Of all the titles, I'd rather choose this one from the concert yesterday night. I don't deny that after almost 24 hours traveling and awake, when just before the start it all became extremely pushy, I wondered why - oh why? - I was there. But from the very first line of War Of Kings those eyes caught me to answer. My friend Fe Norwood would probably remember our recent conversation on Europe FB page, and Joey came to me on that very line I had quoted from RTN in that conversation, with an unmistakable smile to prove he had read it all! Sometimes it's easy, sometimes so tough, but just have one thing clear I can't get enough! So I know how silly and ridiculous these things are at a reading from external eyes, but it's part of the magic in the Europe shows and I won't be tired enough to repeat and to shout it out. The show started at midnight. It was a classic full set with Wasted Time, RTN as 3rd song now, while Superstitious was towards the end, Girl From Lebanon and Cherokee, to mention only the points were the set list is usually variable from time to time. All the rest confirmed. Very heartfelt performance from the whole band, Mic was singing along a lot and taking part with enthusiasm, Norum was distant from me but I caught some of his happy faces there directed to the audience, he was having fun! The girl on my left helped me to take off my heavy jacket after the first songs or I would have fainted for being so suffocated, too hot inside and pushy and not to have water to drink. But I was feeling the warmth of a fiery crowd to have their own band on stage in their Country! Then I risked to swoon because of that underlying communication, but the fact we were so packed avoided that I could fall down on the ground for sure! No space to go down on the floor! The magic of this all is that you wish you had a camcorder in your head, because now you wonder once again "have I dreamt it all, right?" If someone finds someone's video of Firebox in the next days please PLEASE let me know. And then I wonder if it was Swedish or English (or Bullsh*t? no, I don't think so! ) when Joey talked to me off the microphone... when he was kneeling down with the tamburine in his hand, during the guitar solo. It's good not to have all the answers though, so one keeps wanting for more... The boat has left Turku in Finland a couple of hours ago, we are all heading back to Stockholm and then back to our normal lives.
